About Yesterday
Chi Miigwech for the sweet visits of Canon Kelsey Schuster and Dean Richard Swenson. It was lovely to see you both. The Baptisms made it a perfect day! Chi Miigwech to the Dean for bearing such a kind message from our dear Bishop. Chi Miigwech for the gifts too many to name, but most of all, the gifts of reminding us all of loving familyhood from our diocese and our White Earth Churches. We are indeed all relatives and that will never change.
Blessings and prayers always. I humbly receive your love, and in that humility leave my own for now and forever.
God's love, continues to change us, remake us everyday to be closer to his Son, Jesus

With a heart open and curious, this prayer offers joy at the many miracles of creation"...your marvelous things without number"

O Thou, light of light,
fountain of life:
grant me the grace
of wonder. Surprise me,
amaze me, awe me
in every crevice of your universe.
Each day enrapture me with
your marvelous things
without number.
I do not ask
to see the reason
for it all:
I ask only to share
the wonder of it all.” – Rabbi Abraham Joshua Heschel

For Wed.
Do not ask anxiously, what are we to eat? What are we to drink? What shall we wear? The whole world runs after such things. Set your heart and mind on God’s commonwealth and justice first, and all the rest will come to you as well. So do not be anxious about tomorrow. Today has enough problems of its own; tomorrow can look after itself. Matthew 6:31-34

A prayer for the vulnerable and grieving, and those preparing to give their breath back to the Lord.

Keep watch, dear Lord, with those who work, or watch, or
weep this night, and give your angels charge over those who
sleep. Tend the sick, Lord Christ; give rest to the weary, bless
the dying, soothe the suffering, pity the afflicted, shield the
joyous; and all for your love’s sake. Amen.

Evening 11/16/25
A wonderful Service at Rice Lake today, with a potluck that followed. A good little crowd. We decided to do Gospel Based Discipleship with the Gospel. It was a good discussion. After Communion was shared at the table, and a blessing given, Ray gave the Blessing for our feast, and we ate well with wonderful pastas and chicken and dumplings, snacks, fresh fruit, chocolates, and a super creamy fluff also with fruit.
An amazing time today of prayer, thoughtful talk and sharing of our love in Holy Communion and the sacred embraces of Family.
A day of Sweet November Blessings. Never goodbye.

Our Gospel:
Luke 21:5-19
When some were speaking about the temple, how it was adorned with beautiful stones and gifts dedicated to God, Jesus said, "As for these things that you see, the days will come when not one stone will be left upon another; all will be thrown down."
They asked him, "Teacher, when will this be, and what will be the sign that this is about to take place?" And he said, "Beware that you are not led astray; for many will come in my name and say, `I am he!' and, `The time is near!' Do not go after them.
"When you hear of wars and insurrections, do not be terrified; for these things must take place first, but the end will not follow immediately." Then he said to them, "Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; there will be great earthquakes, and in various places famines and plagues; and there will be dreadful portents and great signs from heaven.
"But before all this occurs, they will arrest you and persecute you; they will hand you over to synagogues and prisons, and you will be brought before kings and governors because of my name. This will give you an opportunity to testify. So make up your minds not to prepare your defense in advance; for I will give you words and a wisdom that none of your opponents will be able to withstand or contradict. You will be betrayed even by parents and brothers, by relatives and friends; and they will put some of you to death. You will be hated by all because of my name. But not a hair of your head will perish. By your endurance you will gain your souls."

This was chosen tonight. It always seems to light my spirit to not be dragged down, owned and controlled, and made miserable by our needs.
Do not ask anxiously, what are we to eat? What are we to drink? What shall we wear? The whole world runs after such things. Set your heart and mind on God’s commonwealth and justice first, and all the rest will come to you as well. So do not be anxious about tomorrow. O Gracious Light Phos hilaron
O gracious light,
pure brightness of the ever living Father in heaven,
O Jesus Christ, holy and blessed!
Now as we come to the setting of the sun,
and our eyes behold the vesper light,
we sing your praises, O God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
You are worthy at all times to be praised by happy voices,
O Son of God, O Giver of Life,
and to be glorified through all the worlds.

Today we remember
Charles Simeon, Priest, 1836
Collect
Loving God, whose unerring wisdom and unbounded love order all things: Grant us in all things to see your hand; that, following the example and teaching of your servant Charles Simeon, we may walk with Christ in all simplicity and serve you with a quiet and contented mind; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
