Whoops, the Prairie Post has the wrong date for changing the time of worship. Totally my fault (Joann) and I am so sorry. Will put the correction in next week's issue and also on my page. Please pass the word that we are changing on September 13 (goodness, September 7 isn't even a Sunday!!!) At least the 10 am start is right, I hope!!! Again, sorry!!!

Evening church family, I tried today and worked from the office. Well, my knee didn’t like that and I left really swollen from the knee down. After talking to our SPRC Chair, we decided it would best to stay home tomorrow - 8/20. See you Sunday morning.

We had a great turnout at our ice cream social! How fun that a group of kids decided to eat their ice cream on the church front steps! ⛪️❤️🍦

As our children head back to the classroom this morning, we pray for their minds to be opened to the lessons they will learn. We pray for the teachers, aides, school bus drivers, librarians, facility staff, and administrators for their hearts have placed them into roles of shaping lives. We pray for coaches and players safety on the fields of competition. And we wish all a successful experience.

To the Class of 2027, may the next few months mold you into the adults you are becoming, as we look forward to celebrating you in May.

Friends I wanted to give an update. Today is one week since my surgery. I am recovering well and walking around using a cane. The pain is still there, as expected, but is getting each day. I started my Physical Therapy on Friday - boy did the hurt.

I have to keep my leg up throughout the day and keep it iced to keep reducing the swelling, but overall I feel good.

With that limitation still in place, after texting Jenna, we felt it best for me to work from home this week. The office will be closed Wednesday and Thursday. I look forward to seeing you all Sunday. Thank you for understanding and your continued prayers of healing. ~ Pastor Will
