Update on Haisten...he could use a few more prayers today! These pictures are heart-breaking but we know who is in control and who will take care of this little blessing! The true blessing is that he is up and awake and cute as always!! We love you Haisten🩵💙🩵

Mon 6/1 update on Haisten:

Haisten has had a good night last night and good day so far.
Sedation meds are at a good spot.
Hopefully removing the chest tube but may need one on the other side. Possibly replacing PICC line with a double lumen today for more IV access since he’s a difficult stick. ENT plans to take him back to surgery sometime this week to replace trach since it’s essentially a ‘new trach’ because of all the reconstruction they did, they will probably take a look at things to see how they’re healing too.
Other than that, just staying comfortable.

UPDATE: Haisten is doing ok today. He is stable although keeping him completely sedated has been a challenge. The doctors want to try to keep him sedated at least this weekend to help his little body heal but he ain’t having it 😆 keep the prayers coming for healing and strength to overcome this necessary step to get him to a better life that he so deserves! We love you Haisten❤️

Our little guy Haisten is out of surgery. It lasted way longer than they anticipated and he still has a trach but they were able to downsize it. He will go back for reevaluation in a few weeks to see if they can downsize a little more. All is in Gods timing and we are so grateful this tough surgery is behind him. We still ask for prayers for his recovery and healing and for Amanda and Jeremy and the entire family. Thanks for all the prayers and please keep them coming.

UPDATE: Just got an update concerning Haisten's surgery............ Dr's say everything is going well. Looking closer to 5 pm for the surgery to be complete. Prayers that the trach can be removed without complications and that Haisten can start his journey to complete recovery and breathing on his own!!
