Worship

Although the attention of many is distracted on this Labor Day weekend, the focus of the Readings is clear. We have a Savior who has come to find the lost and restore them through forgiveness, and we have a purpose in speaking this Gospel to the whole world. This is not an easy calling. The lost often do not want to be found, and the wicked are content in their ways. We act not as self-appointed guardians of the truth but as instruments of God. Through us He speaks His Word of love and to the lost and wicked. Today we pray that we will not be distracted from this calling.

End of Summer Celebration!

What a wonderful morning of worship and fellowship! Our service was well attended, and it was especially great to see so many children gathered for the children’s message.

Following worship, we gathered outside for a special benediction, blowing bubbles as a beautiful symbol of our prayers being lifted up to God. 🙏🫧

We finished the morning enjoying finger foods, beverages, and fellowship together as a church family.

Thank you to the Education Team for hosting and to everyone who joined us and helped make the day so special.

God is great!

Those map directions on our phones and car devices have improved immensely—from “calculating” (or recalculating!!) to having 3-5 different sets of directions to choose from—all good choices. They even tell us about speed traps set up—I trust those directions explicitly. Peter passed the test about who Jesus is but then flunks the “following” test. Today Jesus gives us directions—and hearing and believing and doing the words of Jesus lead us to powerful moments and powerful living.

As We Gather – 8/23/2026
Worship

This summer we have been singing the "Doxology" each week as our hymn of praise. The word doxology encompasses words of praise that are addressed to the triune God. It comes from the Greek word doxa, which is used in the New Testament to express the splendor of God and also serves to describe the outpouring of honor and praise to God from His faithful people.

We couldn't have asked for a better final day of Vacation Bible School, with the theme - God is Forever!

What a wonderful gift from God to have so many students together praising Jesus and learning His good news.

Our night was blessed with beautiful weather for the Family Fun Movie Night which featured food, games, family fun, and the movie Super Mario Galaxy! We had a fantastic turnout and saw many smiles.

A sincere thank you to the many volunteers who made this week a success. We couldn't have done it without you! We also appreciate the families who came daily to SST. You are always welcome back, and we hope to see you at worship services and our fall educational programming!

Family Fun Movie Night is in full swing! Once dusk hits, we will start our surprise movie…. Which is out of this galaxy.! (can you guess it?).

We have games, a bouncy house, and much more. Come join us!
