Our teens had the BEST time tonight making dot cakes! 🎂

Naturally, it turned into a little friendly competition, girls vs. boys to see who could make the best cake. The girls were feeling pretty confident about their masterpiece…especially once they saw how the boys cake was a little lumpy. 😅

But one of the boys had the perfect response. He looked at their slightly less beautiful cake and said, “We should make the lesson about how it’s not what’s on the outside, but what’s on the inside that counts.” 😌

And the best part, there’s scripture to back it up!

“…for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” - 1 Samuel 16:7

We’re so thankful for nights like these — lots of laughter, a little friendly competition, and sweet memories made together. ❤️

We’re having our food pantry today, August 20, from 2-4pm for anyone in need of food or prayer! We open the pantry on the third Thursday of every month. The food will be distributed from the Fellowship Hall. Please share and get the word out! We hope to help as many people as possible.

💦☀️ VBS DAY 5 — POOL PARTY! 🍕🍪

We wrapped up an AMAZING week of VBS with a pool party at Tired Creek Country Club! 🎉

The kids spent the evening swimming, playing chicken, tossing around beach balls, racing each other in swimming competitions, and even squeezed in a little football! 🏊‍♀️🏈 Of course, no pool party is complete without plenty of pizza and cookies to refuel! 🍕🍪

After a week filled with crafts, worship, Bible lessons, good food, and lots of laughter, it was the perfect way to celebrate together. 💛

We are so thankful for every child who joined us last week, every parent who brought them, and every volunteer who helped make our VBS possible! Our prayer is that the lessons they learned last week will stick with them long after VBS is over—and that they’ll continue to remember that Jesus is the Light of the World! ✨
