Our lives are brief. Yet much of what we do can feel ordinary or unnoticed. In the Bible, Psalm 90 reminds us that God gives meaning to our days and establishes the work of our hands. This Labor Day weekend, we consider what it means to live graciously, work intentionally, and entrust our ordinary lives to a faithful God.

Today's message: “The God Who Sees You” (Genesis 16:1-16)
Hagar finds herself alone, mistreated, and forgotten in the wilderness. But there she encounters a God who sees her. She’s seen not as a problem to be solved or someone to be overlooked, but as a beloved person known by name. Her story reminds us that even when we feel unseen by others, we are never unseen by God.

Jesus asks a deceptively simple question: “What are you seeking?” Beneath our pursuit of security, happiness, and fulfillment lies a deeper longing that only Christ can satisfy. This sermon invites us to name what we are really looking for and to hear Jesus’ invitation to “Come and see.”

Today's Music: We’re glad to welcome back members of the Wheaton College Chapel Worship Arts Collective with us this Sunday, helping lead us in worship. We’re grateful for the opportunity to welcome these gifted students and have them share in our music ministry under Pastor Donté’s direction.

Rooted Kids: Our new midweek program for grades K-5 is here!

Age groups will be determined as registration progresses, so sign up today and help us create the best groups for our kids!

Think Vacation Bible School every Wednesday, without having to wait until summer! Each week will feature an afternoon filled with faith, fun, friendships, and hands-on activities that help kids know Jesus, grow in their faith, and build lasting friendships.

Wednesdays, September 30 – November 18
3:45–5:30 p.m.
Held at First Pres Wheaton

Kids will begin each afternoon with a snack and hangout time before rotating through four engaging, hands-on activity stations.

We can’t wait to make Wednesday afternoons the highlight of your child’s week and a place to make friends, discover God’s love, and grow in faith together.
