Rick and Amy Cox of Hoosier Lanes announced that the bowling alley kitchen will open at 11 AM to provide free pizza, coffee, drinks, and snacks for first responders assisting the community and anyone affected by the storms who needs a warm, dry place and a meal. They expressed support for the community and encouragement during the tragedy

Let’s lift up in prayer everyone affected by tonight’s severe weather and continue to keep them in your prayers. Also pray for officers, fire department, first responders, EMTs, and others who are helping. We will do our best to share helpful community resources in this post as we find organizations and services assisting those in need during this time.

- Diaper Bank at The Connection Center, donations also accepted. We're also partnering with Shine.FM to be a drop off location for a variety of items. Check their page for more details.
- The Rec is open for everyone who needs a shower that still has no electricity. We do not have towels and soaps, so please bring them if you plan on coming. Non-members, let our front desk know you are here for a shower and a staff member will show you the locker room.
- RE/MAX Executives DeMotte hosting a drop off spot for donations to help those affected.
- KV High School for temporary shelter.
- Red Cross is at KVHS until 3/12 at noon.
- North Newton Jr/Sr High School for temporary shelter.
- The Red Cross is setting up at North Newton Jr/Sr High School for people affected by the severe weather.
- GoodNeighbor Food Pantry runs Wednesdays from 9:30-12, donations welcome as well.
- Revived Resale will be reaching out to try and help families with clothing.
- If you are looking to help volunteer or donate in anyway, reach out to First Church via email at [email protected].
- Sorrowful Mother Food Pantry runs Saturdays 8 - 10:30am at Sorrowful Mother Church in Wheatfield.
- People wanting to help clean debris, meet at Grace Church before 12pm, as they will be leaving in groups to go clean. If you know anyone who needs their area cleaned, call the church at 219-232-4949.
- For dogs and cats that are injured from the storm, Davis Veterinary is waiving exam fees.
- For people who are affected by the storm and need extra help taking care of their dogs or cats, Sunny Paws Kennel in Rensselaer or Park Your Paws Kennel in Wheatfield have organized pet supply donation drives. Donations are always accepted.
- DeMotte United Methodist Church is allowing people to warm up and charge their devices at their location if you still have no power.
- Wheatfield Chamber of Commerce will be at Hoosier Lanes on 3/11 from 5-8 PM offering pizza to displaced families, first responders, & anyone helping with cleanup efforts. They will also have a trailer at the parking lot to collect donations for ones in need.

Updates as of 3/12:
- If you want to help with cleanup, meet at the LaSalle Fish & Wildlife Headquarters between 8am and 6 pm.
- SOMA Beauty & Aesthetics is collecting donations and will distribute within the week for those who are in need!

Also, KV Schools do not have school 3/12. It is not an e-learning day.

If you are wanting to help through physical labor, meals, donations, etc, reach out to your local churches to see what is available. We will post to our story if churches post regarding services or donations to help those in need.
