Thank you for a great Neighbor Day!

Nearly 100 of you came to see the races, eat hot dogs, pet animals, and bounce!

Thank you to The FARM for bringing the animals, to everyone who set up and tore down, and to every family who showed up not knowing a soul here. I hope we blessed you as much as you did us.

Everything is ready to go, and it all starts at 11 AM tomorrow morning.

Everything is FREE!

Three fastest derby racers will leave with gift cards for gas and DQ and a trophy!
Three top derby designers will leave with gift cards for Stracks and DQ and a trophy!
Every racer get a medal!

Didn't have time to build a car? No problem! Bring an old one or borrow one from a friend. We have a few more kits, so if you want to stop by in the morning and cram in a morning craft session, I'll be at the church at 8 am. First come. First served.

The FARM set the animal pens up, and their filling them with animals for you to enjoy in the morning. Bunnies. Pigs. (I heard they just had a baby cow born this morning.)

Hot dogs off the grill. Chips. Watermellon. Freeze pops. Lemonade. Bottled water.
Tents for shade. Yard games. A ferris wheel bounce house.
We're ready to have fun! Are you?

The best part about this is there are NO strings attached. Our grounds are ready, and our building is open. Come and eat. Come and play. Come and pet. Come for the day. Come just for lunch. We're ready to receive you and bless you.

Everything starts at 11 AM tomorrow. See you there!

Three days.

The weather is looking great! We've got shade and water, and the church is open and cool if you get too hot.

We're starting the grills at 10. Neighbor Day and Derby weigh-ins open at 11.

If you're still on the fence, lunch is free, parking is easy, and no one will ask you for anything. Just come.

This Saturday. 11 to 2. Everything is free.

Pinewood Derby with a real track and real trophies. Live farm animals. Bounce house. Hot dogs off the grill, chips, cold water, popsicles. The first public look at our renovated kids' space.

Nothing costs anything. Nothing requires a sign-up. Come at 11, come at 1, come for half an hour.

We're calling it Neighbor Day because that's the only qualification. The whole list is anyone who comes!

Six Days

The cars have been sitting on kitchen tables around Wheatfield for two weeks, and on Saturday, they finally race.

Weigh-in opens at 11. First heat at 11:15. Finals at 1. Awards at 1:30.

Prizes for the top three racers and designers include gas and grocery gift cards, trophies, and DQ gift cards.

Still building? There's a tuning station on-site that morning: graphite, weights, and at least one guy who takes this far more seriously than the situation requires.

Everything is free. Bring anybody.

Let's answer the question everone's been quietly asking:

YES, IT'S ACTUALLY FREE. ALL OF IT.

The derby is free. The kits are free. The bounce house is free. The petting zoo is free. Lunch is free. There's no admission, no donation basket, no sign-up sheet, no one taking your information at the door, and no one is going to corner you about your soul in the parking lot.

You can show up, eat a hot dog, let your kids bounce until they're worn out, watch a derby heat, pet a goat, and leave. That's a complete and entirely acceptable Neighbor Day.

We're doing it because we live here too and because the end of summer should have one more good Saturday in it.
