“Bob was one of those rare churchmen who saw evil and knew it needed to be confronted. He understood he had a duty to respond when God’s law and Word were being impugned by men or the governments of men. He felt compelled, as Christ’s ambassador, to square-up against the idols and tyrants of our day.

His loss from the Lord’s field and the battle for the souls of men will not only be felt in his home and in his church; not only in Denver and in Colorado; but in the nation.

The wicked cheer his death because one who served Christ in the public square has fallen. A man is known by who his enemies are. Most Christians have no enemies because they lived their lives in self-absorbed quietism; putting a veneer of Jesus on their endless pursuit of wealth and ease.

Our brother has crossed over the river to be with our Lord. May we live our lives faithful to Christ.

And may the hearts of all those who were close to Bob be comforted by our Lord.”

Longtime friends of Denver Bible Church ~

A message from this Body of Christ in regards to our Beloved Pastor Bob and his Dear wife Cheryl.

Rumors that Pastor Bob and Cheryl tested positive for the SARS Co-V2 virus and that both are suffering a severe case are true.
Pastor Bob and Cheryl are in the hospital in good hands and improving daily. We anticipate and pray for a Full recovery.

We both grieve and Rejoice together during this challenging time.

We Rejoice in the message Pastor Bob delivered faithfully over the decades and for his unwavering Courage and Determination.
Pastor Bob became a follower of Jesus in his youth and the tens of thousands of people who have been touched by his Life and Jesus' message, have come to love this Dear man of God and his wife.

We Rejoice in the outpouring of Love and support our members have received. We Rejoice because of the many friendships formed and hearts that have been knit together in Love because of "the Little Church that Could".

We grieve for the poor Lost souls that daydream about dancing around the hospital bed of our Pastor and wish - he suffer greatly, then die.

The messages received by our church have been overwhelmingly favorable. Those that speak with Malice toward Pastor Bob have been few, yet desperately Cruel and Sad.

Pastor Bob and Cheryl are Living proof of the words of our Lord "If the world hates you, ye know it hated me first" John 15:18

When Pastor Bob recovers, his message will go out louder than before, thou his voice may quiver a bit.

Jesus' message that Pastor Bob delivered week in and week out - this generation is dying in Sin and in desperate Need of the Savior, Abortion is Murder, Flee Immorality, Abhor what is Evil, Love One Another, Government Schools are No Longer an Opotion; is The Truth we've found at DBC.

We enjoy a closer walk with our Lord because Pastor Bob and Cheryl decided to follow Him.

We pray for these Lost souls, that another couple like Bob and Cheryl be raised up to Reach them with the Truth of the Word, a Friendship and Love – that we now know.

An important message from Bradley Pierce:

Dear friends,

I am writing to you today with one request: that you pray.

But first let me give you some details so you know exactly what to pray for.

You may have heard of the US Supreme Court case, Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, based on the Gestational Age Act passed by the state of Mississippi in March 2018.

The Supreme Court is viewing this case as an opportunity to determine whether all pre-viability prohibitions on elective abortions are unconstitutional. In spite of the poor legal basis provided by the Gestational Age Act for considering this question, God has given us an opportunity.

Tomorrow, I will be submitting an amicus curiae (friend of the court) brief to the Supreme Court in support of reversing Roe v. Wade, and for the abolition of abortion through the Court’s recognition of the legal personhood of all humans regardless of born or preborn status.

To be clear, this brief does not speak in favor of either party, but simply presents the abolitionist perspective. To my knowledge, this perspective has never been presented to the Supreme Court in an amicus curiae or otherwise.

As great an opportunity as this is, we know that, 'Neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth' (1 Corinthians 3:7). And, 'The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps' (Proverbs 16:9).

Therefore, I am asking you to please pray that God uses this brief to convict the Supreme Court justices of the truth, that they would bow before Him and His law, and that they would not only reverse Roe v. Wade, but that they would also recognize and acknowledge the personhood of all humans born or preborn. Specifically you can pray that:

1) The words I have written in the brief are clear, powerful, true, convincing, and convicting;

2) The brief is read by a large number of Supreme Court clerks, and they are convinced by its contents;

3) The clerks advocate for the brief to the justices, and that the justices read it and are convinced;

4) The Supreme Court does its God-given and constitutional duty and reverses Roe v. Wade and acknowledges the personhood of preborn humans with the legal ramification that abortion is abolished nationwide;

5) That pro-life organizations and public officials reading the brief would be inspired to abolish abortion regardless of whether the Court does the right thing in this case or not; and

6) That God would get all the glory.

I would ask that you pray right now, and that you share this as a prayer request in your church and Christian networks.
