Welcome to our Summer Worship series: "Love
in Life: Lifting Us Higher: Psalms of Ascent." Our ancestors prayed Psalms 120-134 while they traveled up (ascended) to Jerusalem for special religious festivals. As Jesus prayed and lived these Psalms, he now makes them prayers for us, a way of trusting God, in our lives. Thank you for being on this journey!

Psalm 122 (NRSVUE)
I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go to the house of the Lord!” 2 Our feet are standing
within your gates, O Jerusalem. 3 Jerusalem—built as a city that is bound firmly together. 4 To it the tribes go up, the tribes of the Lord, as was decreed for Israel, to give thanks to the name of the Lord. 5 For there the thrones for judgment were set up, the thrones of the house of David. 6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: “May they prosper who love you. 7 Peace be within your walls and security within your towers.”8 For the sake of my relatives and friends I will say, “Peace be within you.” 9 For the sake of the house of the Lord our God,

We thank all of YOU who made our lawn party & cash raffle a success! This goes to all of our community members and businesses, our beyond dedicated members who make the sacrifice daily to provide a service, but go a little extra the week of lawn party. Last but not least, the family members of those volunteers who pitch in to help where they can, and allow their loved ones to spend so much time assisting the fire company. None of what we do would be possible without of these things working together! Our sincerest THANK YOU!

Sunday begins a summer worship series: "Love in Life: Lifting Us Higher: Psalms of Ascent." Our ancestors prayed Psalms 120-134 while they traveled up (ascended) to Jerusalem for special

On Sunday, we will go on a road trip
with Jesus and his family. This family, just as they are, bless us for the journey of life. Thank you for being with us!
Luke 2:41-52 (NRSVUE)
Now every year his parents went to Jerusalem for the festival of the Passover. And when he was twelve years old, they went up as usual for the festival. When the festival was ended and they started to return, the boy Jesus stayed behind in Jerusalem, but his parents were
unaware of this. Assuming that he was in the group of travelers, they went a day’s journey. Then they started to look for him among their relatives and friends. When they did not find him, they returned to Jerusalem to search for him. After three days they found him in the temple, sitting among the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions. And all who heard him were amazed at his understanding and his answers. When his parents saw him they were astonished, and his mother said to him, “Child, why have you treated us like this?
Your father and I have been anxiously looking for you.” He said to them, “Why were you searching for me? Did you not know that I must be in my Father’s house?” But they did not understand what he said to them. Then he went down with them and came to Nazareth and
was obedient to them, and his mother treasured all these things in her heart. And Jesus increased in wisdom and in years and in divine and human favor.
