Introducing our Camp T-shirt design and theme for this summer!

This summer is extra special, as we are celebrating six decades of St. Crispin’s

The first summer camp was held in 1966, with 44 fifth- and sixth-grade youth and a staff of 11 adults, under the direction of the Rev. Vern Jones. By the end of 1966, the Episcopal Church Women (ECW), Brotherhood of St. Andrew, Evangelism Division, Camp and Conference Division, College of Chaplains, St. Dunstan’s, St. Peter’s, and St. Christopher’s churches were utilizing the grounds for meetings. We can’t wait to see you this summer. And don’t forget to sign up for our homecoming celebration on Labor Day Weekend! https://stcrispins.org/60th-anniversary

We’ve already had an amazing first week of camp, and we’re looking forward to welcoming many more campers this summer!

As a reminder, our Parent Handbook is one of the best resources for answering camp questions. It includes information about drop-off and pick-up procedures, packing lists, daily schedules, communication, health and safety policies, and much more.

Whether you’re joining us next week or later this summer, we encourage you to bookmark it for easy reference.

You can find the Parent Handbook here: https://www.canva.com/design/DAG1bVoAatM/PaAEQGtTOXkowJoALo-3mw/view?utm_content=DAG1bVoAatM&utm_campaign=designshare&utm_medium=link2&utm_source=uniquelinks&utlId=hb1e6a78e33

If you still have questions after reviewing the handbook, we’re always happy to help. We can’t wait to see everyone at camp!

Today, our summer staff had the opportunity to learn from The Storied Contemplative, a ministry dedicated to helping youth-serving organizations create healthier, more compassionate, and more spiritually grounded communities.

Through conversations about trauma-informed care, mental health awareness, contemplative practices, and spiritual formation, our staff were invited to think deeply about what it means to accompany young people with wisdom, empathy, and care.

At St. Crispin’s, we know that camp is more than activities and traditions. It is a community where campers bring their whole selves - their joys, questions, struggles, hopes, and stories. Preparing staff to meet those stories with compassion is an important part of our ministry.

We are grateful to The Storied Contemplative for investing in our staff and helping equip them for the sacred work that lies ahead this summer. The conversations that began today will continue to shape the way we build belonging, nurture faith, and care for one another throughout the camp season.

Thank you for sharing your wisdom with us. We can’t wait to see the impact it has on our camp community.
