No one is qualified to determine what you are or are not capable of accomplishing with your life.
Why?
Because they weren’t there when God put purpose inside of you!
They weren’t there when God determined your gifts. They weren’t there when He established your assignment. They weren’t there when He decided how your experiences, abilities, relationships, victories, and even your struggles would eventually work together for His purpose.
So why would you allow another person’s opinion to become the ceiling over what God placed inside of you?
Now understand this: this doesn’t mean you become unteachable. God uses pastors, mentors, leaders, and wise people to provide direction, correction, and confirmation. We all need godly counsel.
But counsel should help you develop God’s purpose, not replace God as the source of your purpose.
Some people will look at where you are today and make conclusions about where you can go tomorrow. Don’t become offended by it, but don’t become limited by it either.
Keep growing.
Keep developing.
Keep listening to God.
Keep following His direction.
And keep becoming everything He created you to become.
People can have an opinion about your potential, but only God has authority over your purpose.
Never allow another person’s inability to see what God placed inside of you to cause you to stop pursuing what God has placed before you!
