Prayers for a member of New Hope LeEllen and husband Chase Teague at the loss of her husband’s Grandfather, Jerry Neal Teague.

Jerry Neal Teague was born February 13, 1939 in Ramer, Tennessee to the late Claude Bell and Pearl Irene Teague. Jerry departed from his earthly home and transitioned to his eternal peace on Saturday, January 3 2026 at his home in Ramer.
On December 16, 1960, he entered into holy matrimony, a covenant blessed by God, with the love of his life: Glenda Juan Massengill.
Their marriage was a testimony to faith, devotion, and unwavering commitment, grounded in prayer and guided by God's grace. Through the years, they shared a life rich in love and purpose. He is survived by his beloved wife, with whom he faithfully walked this earthly journey, trusting in God's promises and the hope of eternal reunion.
A man of strong faith and honest work, he began his career at the Brown Shoe Company before owning and operating his own grocery store. Guided by God's provision, he later spent his working years on the family farm, Teague Farms, laboring alongside his brother and sons, grateful for the land, the work, and the blessings God provided.
In retirement, he enjoyed traveling with his beloved wife and family, always ready for a new adventure-or a good yard sale. He cherished the time spent making memories, laughing, and exploring wherever life took them.
Family was the heart of his life, and he was deeply thankful for the many loved ones God placed along his path. He leaves behind his children, Kenny Teague, Jada Carter, and Stacey Teague and wife Rhonda; and his daughter-in-law, Kristy Teague. He is also survived by his sisters, Lou Townsend, Mary Goodrum (Gary), and Brenda Hunter (Bill); his sister-in-law, Marie Hamm; and his brother-in-law, Neal Massengill (Amy).
His legacy continues through his grandchildren: Robert Carter (Audra), Jessica Carter (Brad), Jerry Chase Teague (LeEllen), Colton Teague (Cassie), Chassidy Hardy (Kyle), Caitlyn Chapman (Noah), Vivian Avant (Lane), Caleb Teague (Makayla), Cade Teague, and Mollie Teague; and his great-grandchildren: Jude Carter, Foster Carter, Allie Teague, Landry Teague, Jaxton Hardy, Emmalyn Hardy, Yancey Whit Chapman, and Colter Avant. He leaves behind a host of beloved nieces and nephews as well.
He was preceded in death by his son, Chris Anthony Teague; his parents; his brothers, Benny, Joe, J.C., and Doug; his sisters, Ann and Faye; his brothers-in-law, Pat, Randolph, and Paul; his sisters-in-law, Sue, Iller, Willodean, and Loudean; his daughter-in-law, Aleeta Teague; and his great-grandchild, Emersyn Hardy. He trusted in the promise of eternal life and the hope of a joyful reunion through his faith in the Lord.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to his care team with Legacy Hospice for their exceptional care and support during this difficult time.
