Update: 2500 raised this afternoon.
$2500 to go!!

Can you help us reach our goal?

We need to raise an additional $5,000 to complete this exciting playground project for our church and community.

What makes this story incredible is that this is a $150,000 project that God has helped us secure for only $25,000. Through a generous grant, we already have $20,000 committed, and now we are trusting God for the final $5,000 needed to bring it all together.

This playground will not only serve our church families, but it will also be open to our community alongside the Connect on Main Coffee Shop area — creating a safe, welcoming place for children, families, and friendships to grow.

Every gift, big or small, helps move this vision forward.

If you would like to help or have questions, reach out to Pastor Jeffrey Moore at 765-674-7582.

Thank you for believing in what God is doing through Connect on Main.

Had a great time at Connect Youth tonight!

There was plenty of fun, games, food, and great fellowship as we gathered together in our new building. We're excited about what God is doing and are looking forward to finishing the youth room and adding a few more games in the coming weeks.

Tonight, Jacob Asher shared the story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. One of the biggest takeaways was this: faith isn't just trusting God when things turn out the way we want. Faith is trusting Him no matter the outcome, knowing that He is with us through every fire we face.
Just like those three young men, we can stand firm, trust God, and know that we're never alone.

We're already looking forward to our fishing trip next Monday, come join us!

The Brief History of Connect on Main

Connect on Main is the continued story of a church that has faithfully served the Westport and South Decatur community for more than a century. Since its founding in 1915, the church has existed to share the hope of Jesus Christ, serve families, and build meaningful relationships within the community.

Over the years, the church has experienced seasons of growth, transition, and renewal. While the name and locations have changed through different generations, the mission has remained the same—to love God, love people, and walk alongside individuals wherever they are in life’s journey.

In recent years, the congregation sensed a renewed calling to become more intentionally connected to the surrounding community. As a result, the church embraced the name “Connect on Main,” reflecting both its new Main Street location and its desire to serve as a community connection hub for the South Decatur area.

Under the leadership of Pastor Jeffrey A. Moore and the church family, Connect on Main has experienced revitalization, growth, and a renewed vision for ministry. What began as a small congregation has grown into a thriving and active church family focused on discipleship, mentorship, youth outreach, community engagement, and spiritual renewal.

In 2025–2026, Connect on Main completed construction of a new ministry campus located at 601 E Main Street in Westport, Indiana. This new campus was developed to create additional space for worship, youth ministry, community events, discipleship programs, and future outreach initiatives such as South Decatur Youth Impact.

Today, Connect on Main continues to build on its historic foundation while looking toward the future with faith and vision. The church remains committed to being a place of hope, healing, belonging, and transformation for individuals and families throughout the region.

Where do you find your identity?

The deepest identity of the believer is not ultimately found in a theological label, a denomination, a ministry role, or even personal success or failure. It is found in union with Christ.

Your identity flows from being:

* loved by the Father,
* redeemed by the Son,
* indwelt by the Holy Spirit,
* and adopted into the family of God.

Scripture repeatedly grounds identity relationally:

“See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God.” — 1 John 3:1

“It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me.” — Galatians 2:20

“For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.” — Colossians 3:3

When identity is rooted only in doctrine, people can become defensive, tribal, or fearful whenever their system is challenged.
But when identity is rooted in Christ, there can be humility, stability, and love—even while holding convictions deeply.

Relationship with Christ becomes the center:

* not merely defending truth,
* but knowing Truth personally.

That does not diminish doctrine; it puts doctrine in its proper place. Doctrine becomes a means of knowing and loving God more fully rather than a badge we wear to validate ourselves.

In many ways, the New Testament vision is not:
“I am primarily a Calvinist, Wesleyan, charismatic, Baptist…”

but:
“I am in Christ.”

That identity is deeper than every secondary distinction.

Pentecost — 50 days after Easter.
The day the Holy Spirit descended in power, birthing and empowering the New Testament church in Acts 2.

What began in an upper room became a movement that changed the world.

The same Holy Spirit that filled believers then is still filling, leading, convicting, empowering, and transforming lives today.

The church was never meant to operate on human strength alone.
Pentecost reminds us that God empowers ordinary people to do supernatural work for His glory.

“Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, saith the Lord.” — Zechariah 4:6

We received word today that we were awarded a $20,000 grant for the next two phases of the Connect on Main Campus Master Plan!

These next phases will help us continue developing Connect on Main as a true community connection hub for the South Decatur area through the children’s playground and outdoor community/fire pit area.

In order to complete these next two phases of development, we need to raise an additional $5,000.

If you are interested in investing in this community development project and helping us continue building spaces that serve families, children, and our community, please reach out.

Thank you for believing in the vision and mission of Connect on Main.

One Campus. One Mission. Endless Impact.
