This is the view of Highway 524 at 8:30 this morning.

With a temperature of 28* there are bound to be some hazardous conditions.

Radar shows that the front is about halfway through our area and heading East.

Better safe than sorry, we will not ask our pastor to make the 2 hour trip through this surprise weather event.

So, we will not have services today, 1/11.

Sunday morning’s temperature is predicted to be near zero with BELOW ZERO wind chills!

We will not have services this Sunday, 12/14. However, we will meet on the 21st for our Christmas service, communion, potluck dinner and gift-wrapping festivities

We hosted some local homeschool kids for a tour of our historic church Saturday. The building was the first courthouse in Oldham County, built in 1830.

For a building that is 195 years old, it’s holding up very well.

With the area flooding after checking this morning we have made a decision not to have service this morning.

Praying for the safety of everyone, especially those affected even more by the flooding.

As we have been hearing this week, a major winter storm is due to hit our area Sunday morning 1/5.

With the safety of everyone in mind, we will not have services tomorrow morning.

Run your faucets, pull out your extra quilt and stay warm.

Join the 3 churches in our community for Easter Sunrise Service at 7:30 am. Westport Baptist, Covington Baptist and Westport Methodist together at the Methodist Church.

Then, immediately following we will have a traditional breakfast at the Westport Baptist Family Life Center.

Come join us, you’ll feel right at home.

We were saddened to hear of the passing of our life-long member, Janet Mings, on Sunday, December 3, 2023. She trusted the Lord in all things and was a blessing to everyone she came in contact with. Janet was a true prayer warrior and was loved by all.

Visitation will be Wednesday, December 6th from 3-5 pm at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home in LaGrange. Funeral service will be Thursday December 7th at 11:00 am at the funeral home.
