Westport Island Baptist Church

Westport Island Baptist Church ~~ An independent conservative Baptist Church on the coast of Maine, with continuous services since 1961. The first pastor was Rev. George Atkinson.

Services are Sundays at 9 AM followed by Bible Study at 10:20, unless alternative events are planned. Westport Baptist has been holding continuous services in the historic "North End Chapel" since 1961. He went home to be with the Lord during the "Ice Storm of the Century" in 1998. He was succeeded by Rev. Kenneth McCowan, who went home to be with the Lord in 2010. Stephen Wallace and others until the present time.
