Sippin’ in the Sukkah is better together. 🌿🥃

There’s something about gathering in the Sukkah with good food, good drinks, great friends, and nowhere else you need to be.

Join us as we celebrate Sukkot with plenty of food, drinks, laughs, and even better company. ❤️

And parents, we’ve got something for the kids, too! 👀

While you enjoy your evening in the Sukkah, kids in 3rd-8th grade can head over to Movie Night for their own night of fun, complete with a favorite film, pizza, and snacks. 🎬🍿 Child care is available for children through 2nd grade.

So grab your friends, save the date, and come Sippin’ in the Sukkah with us!

Putt, putt, hooray! ⛳️🏌️

Brotherhood kicked off the year at Puttshack USA, and the best part wasn’t the scorecard. It was the people, the conversations, the laughs, and having a chance to spend some time together.

Because really, it’s the people that make nights like this so much fun. Catching up with old friends, meeting new ones, sharing some laughs, and making time to connect.

What a great way to kick off another year of Brotherhood. 🤝

Here’s to a great year ahead!

Okay, friends…THIS IS YOUR SIGN. 👀

The High Holy Days are right around the corner, and if you haven’t registered yet, now is the time!

Rosh HaShanah. Yom Kippur. Familiar melodies. Meaningful moments. Being together. 💙

From joining us for every service, to bringing the whole family, to making your way HOME for the holidays, we want to see you there.

⏰ High Holy Days registration closes ONE WEEK FROM TODAY!

A quick reminder: Registration is required for everyone attending services. It helps us prepare for the holidays and, importantly, helps us keep our community safe and secure.

So before life gets busy, the calendar fills up, and you say “I’ll do it tomorrow…” for the 47th time 😂, take a minute and get registered.

Come HOME for the High Holy Days. We’ll save you a seat. 🪑

A SWEET START TO THE HIGH HOLY DAYS 🍰✨

Join us Saturday, September 5 at 8:00 PM for Selichot as we gather together and begin the sacred journey toward Rosh HaShanah and Yom Kippur.

We’ll start with dessert and time to reconnect, then move into the evening’s meaningful traditions, including changing our Torah mantles to white as we prepare our hearts and our community for the High Holy Days.

A little sweetness. A little reflection. A meaningful tradition. And a chance to pause and come together before the High Holy Days begin.

We’d love to have you with us. ❤️

Our Intriguing Shabbat Conversations are FIRE! 🔥

Our first Intriguing Shabbat Conversation of the season was this past Friday, and it was a pretty incredible way to get things started.

We were grateful to welcome Fire Chief Todd Draizin for a meaningful conversation with Rabbi Zive about what it looks like to represent, serve, and support your community, both in everyday moments and when things get a little more… intense.

From courage and leadership to service and putting others first, Chief Draizin shared his perspective on what it means to lead B’chol L’vav’cha: With All Your Heart and show up for the people around you.

Thank you, Chief Draizin, for spending the evening with us and reminding us that supporting our community can take many forms. Sometimes it means lending a hand. Sometimes it means stepping up. And sometimes, it means being willing to run toward the fire. ❤️‍🔥

And this is just the beginning! Check out the link in our bio to see who’s joining us for upcoming Intriguing Shabbat Conversations. We’ll see you there!

What does it mean to become a community?

This week, Rabbi Zive reflects on Ki Tavo and the words, “Ha-yom hazeh niheyeta l’am — Today you have become a people.”

Because becoming a people isn’t something that happens once. Neither is becoming a community.

It happens when we show up for one another, celebrate together, make space for others, and choose who we want to be today.

Ever practiced Israeli Krav Maga on a Sunday morning at Religious School? 😆

Well, we did!

Religious School officially kicked off at TDD this Sunday, and it was energy-packed, to say the least. Students and parents jumped right in for a full morning of learning, connecting, and having a whole lot of fun together.

Our Chuggim (electives) took center stage, with Bishul (cooking) making no-bake honey cakes (that’s a tongue twister 🌪️), Maccabiah (sports) getting everyone moving, and Krav Maga adding a little Israeli flair to the morning! 🇮🇱

And that was just the beginning! We’re so excited for all the learning, exploring, creating, and connecting still to come this year. ❤️

Haven’t registered for Religious School yet? Don’t fret! There’s still time to join us. Contact the Temple office and we’ll get you all set up!

Jewish Traditions Are Meant to Be Shared

Some of our favorite memories begin with grandparents, parents, and children gathered around the same traditions.

Lighting candles. Hearing the shofar. Learning together. Laughing together. Growing together.

At Temple Dor Dorim, every generation has something to teach, and something to discover.

We’d love to celebrate these holy moments with you here at HOME.
