Rise Community Church is called to be a part of building a community of discipled believers to be the hands and feet of Jesus. Some battles are not loud—they happen quietly in the heart.

The enemy rarely begins with obvious rebellion. More often, it starts with subtle desires that pull our attention away from God.

📖 “Do not love the world or anything in the world…” — 1 John 2:15

John warns us about three distractions that compete for our hearts:

➡️ The lust of the flesh — “I want this now.”
➡️ The lust of the eyes — “I need more.”
➡️ The pride of life — “I need to be seen.”

These promises seem satisfying in the moment, but they can never carry the weight of our souls. They leave us chasing fulfillment in places it was never meant to be found.

The good news? In Christ, you don’t have to prove yourself, earn your worth, or search for your identity.

❤️ You are already loved.
🙏 You are already forgiven.
🕊️ You are already secure.

Your identity is not found in what you have, what you achieve, or what others think of you.

Your identity is found in Jesus.

Take a moment today and ask:
What has been competing for my heart lately?
