Real Life Church - Weston A Real Church, With Real People, On A Real Mission People frequently ask us, "Why the name... Real Life"? That´s a good question.

Permanently closed.

The name, first and foremost, refers to the fact that "real life" is only found in Jesus Christ (John 14:6). It also reminds us that the real church exists in the context of real life. In fact you´ll hear us laugh about that most anytime something doesn´t quite go as planned ("that´s just real life"). When you walk into our building, you´ll immediately see what we mean. The carpets are frayed, the

re´s unfinished projects everywhere, and the whole building looks well used. We like it that way, because it reminds us that we´re just passing through on our way to God´s eternal home for us. And that´s the final picture we want people to see. Our real life, the one that God has created us to enjoy forever, comes
after we leave this mortal existence. In order for us to enjoy that future though we have to find a relationship with Jesus now. That's why in real life, we are all about real relationships; with each other and with God.

Today, RLC would have been 18 years old. Tomorrow we would have celebrated our 18th Resurrection Sunday as a local gathering of Christ followers. We started out with a lot of arrogance, and maybe that was ultimately what limited our time as witnesses for Jesus. As we prepare to celebrate Jesus' triumph over the tomb tomorrow, wherever the former members of RLC are, I pray that you humbly remember that it was always about Him, even if we sometimes forgot to act that way.

Today at 10:00 is the final worship gathering of Real Life Church. Starting tomorrow, Great Commission Community Church will take over the building God has blessed us with for the past 17 years. We encourage you to get to know them as they continue the gospel witness in Shadybrook.
We are grateful for all those who have ever been a part of Real Life, and we pray God will bless you with a new church family as our time comes to an end.
We have no plans to close this page, so feel free to enjoy your memories as you scroll back in time, but keep looking forward toward Jesus. His Church will continue till he returns.
