Please keep in mind that during the summer the need for food assistance remains. The Westminster Community Food Pantry could use the following things: Spaghetti O's, Canned Fruit, Soup, Tuna, Spaghetti Sauce, Juice. Please make sure your donations have not expired and are not opened. Please leave any donations in or around the donations box that is next to the left side entrance at the church. There will be no food pantry this week due to the weather. As is our policy, when Mount Wachusett Community College cancels their evening classes, we cancel the food pantry. Sorry for any inconvenience this causes.

The Food Pantry will be open on Friday, March 29th from 6:30pm to 7:30pm this week. We forgot that there were services at the Congregational Church for Maundy Thursday this week. Sorry for the inconvenience and confusion. We'll see you on Friday.

I was asked to list the foods that we are most in need of at this time. I will update this list every few weeks. Donations can be left in the donations box at the Westminster Congregational Church at the left side entrance. Thanks very much for your continued support. Foods that we need include:
Cereal
Rice (one lb. or smaller as we can't divide up larger quantities)
SpaghettiOs
Pasta Sauce
Canned Fruit
Juice (unrefrigerated)

After an overwhelming response from the town residents, businesses, organizations, and other individuals, the Westminster Community Food Pantry is happy to announce that we will be able to continue with weekly service for the residents that are in need of food assistance. In other words, the food pantry will be open every Thursday from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm at the Congregational Church. We are incredibly grateful for the response that we’ve received. Please keep in mind that although we have weathered this storm, there continues to be a need for regular donations whether that be in the form of food or money. Also, if you are donating food, please make sure it has not expired. We do not give out expired food. If it is expired for you, it is expired for all. Thank you again for your kindness in helping those in town who are in need.

Announcement
Starting Thursday, December 7th, the Westminster Community Food Pantry will be open only on the First and Third Thursdays of each month. The hours of operation will remain from 6:30pm to 7:30pm. We regret having to do this, but our expenses are 2 ½ times more than they were 2 years ago, and this is unsustainable. We are servicing an average of 13 Westminster residential families each week which is up from 6 a couple of years ago. We also provide food for 6 single people at the Senior Center. Additionally, significant increases in the price of food have added to the expenses. We will continue to serve the residents of Westminster as best we can. We hope this is only a temporary situation.
