What an amazing way to finish our trip!

I am truly in awe of God and how He has moved throughout this week. He has shown us what true servanthood looks like, given us opportunities to share the hope of the Gospel, and allowed our students to build meaningful friendships and relationships that will continue long after this trip is over.

We kicked off our final day of ministry by returning to the Sharing Center, where we first served earlier this week. It was such a blessing to continue supporting their mission. Another group had the opportunity to share the story of Daniel and the Lions’ Den to kids and encouraging others with the truth that God is faithful and present with us in every circumstance.

We finished the afternoon serving at the Christian Service Center, helping prepare meals that will be served to more than 200 people. Beyond providing food, this ministry creates opportunities to offer prayer, encouragement, and the love of Christ to those who need it most. It was a powerful reminder that even simple acts of service can make an eternal impact.

As we reflect on this week, we are incredibly grateful for all God has done. Thank you for your prayers, encouragement, and support.

Please continue to pray for our team as we travel home tomorrow. Pray for safe travels, renewed hearts, and that the students would carry what they have learned this week back into their homes, schools, and communities.

We cannot wait to see you all soon and share more about this incredible week.

Your brother in Christ,
Gabe

Day Six is Officially in the Books!

Today was a wonderful day as we had the opportunity to worship alongside a local church in the community we have been serving.

After church, the students returned to our base for lunch, a fun scavenger hunt, and time spent writing thank-you cards to the ministries and organizations we have partnered with this week.

As we head into our final day of ministry, we challenged the students to finish strong to give their best effort, serve with joyful hearts, and make the most of every opportunity God places before them.

We would greatly appreciate your continued prayers as we finish this last leg of the trip. Pray for strength, energy, safety, and that God would continue to work in and through our students. We miss you all terribly and cannot wait to share the stories, lessons, and memories from this week when we return home and then share with Family in Christ on June 7! ❤️🙏🏻

Day 5

Beach day

After seeing the ocean for the very first time, I can officially say that I’m still a mountain person at heart. But even so, today was an incredible day for our team.

This morning, we took the students to New Smyrna Beach for some much-needed rest, fun, and time together. Students enjoyed time on the beach, explored local shops, and, most importantly, continued building meaningful relationships with one another. It was great to see friendships grow and memories being made throughout the day.

In the afternoon, we headed to Disney Springs, where students had the opportunity to explore the many unique stores, enjoy some free time, and experience one of the highlights of the day dinner together at the Rainforest Café.

Today provided a great opportunity for our students to recharge physically, mentally and emotionally as we prepare to finish the remainder of our trip strong. We are so grateful for your continued prayers, encouragement, and support.

Thank you also for following along on our social media pages. The students have had an absolute blast creating content and sharing their experiences, we hope you’ve enjoyed getting a glimpse into all that God is doing during our week.

Thank you for partnering with us in prayer and support. We can’t wait to see what God has in store for these final days of our trip!

Day Four of the Mission Trip is officially in the books!

This morning, we had the privilege of visiting Orlando Union Rescue, where we helped celebrate the end of the school year alongside more than 20 local students. The day was packed with fun, and we even had the opportunity to teach the kids one of our favorite games…Nine Square! It was a joy to see our students engage with the children and create meaningful connections through something as simple as a game.

In the afternoon, our team divided into groups for two different ministry opportunities. One group served at a local soup kitchen, helping prepare meals and serve individuals and families in need.

The second group visited an organization dedicated to supporting foster children and families. Located on more than 150 acres, this incredible ministry provides a safe and nurturing environment while also teaching valuable life skills through sustainable farming.

Thank you so much for your continued prayers and support throughout this week. Tomorrow is our much-anticipated beach day, and the students are incredibly excited!

As you pray for us, please pray for safe travels, safety in and around the water, and yes, pray that everyone remembers to reapply their sunscreen throughout the day so we can avoid any painful sunburns! ☀️🌴

Thank you!

Man, what a day!!

Today has been filled with excitement, wonder, and so much energy. We’ve had the opportunity to serve hot meals to those in need, pack food that will be sent to areas devastated by natural disasters, and partner with an organization that provides furniture, clothing, and a true second chance for people rebuilding their lives.

Watching our students serve with compassion, humility, and joy has been incredible. God is nudging our students to step out in faith and He is moving in big ways, and we are so thankful to be a small part of it. God is really growing the team to be vulnerable and we are seeing that unfold during our testimony time and small group.

Thank you all so much for your continued prayers and support. Tomorrow is a big day for our team. We can already see God stretching and growing them through this experience.

Please continue praying for strength, unity, safety, and open hearts as we head into another amazing day of ministry!

Hey Everyone,

Gabe here! We had an incredible first day of the trip. This morning we split into two groups to serve at different organizations in the community.

One group served at the Sharing Center, learning how they provide essential resources with dignity while sharing the love of Christ.

The other group partnered with SALT Outreach, helping support people experiencing homelessness through practical needs like food, clothing, hygiene products, and showers.

We ended the day at Clean the World, where we packed soap that will be sent to children in the Philippines to promote safe hygiene practices.

Of course, we wrapped up the night with ice cream! Thank you all for your continued prayers as we look forward to what God will do tomorrow.

The LIFT Youth Mission team has arrived safely in Orlando and spent the day getting settled and oriented to our location! We are tired, but so excited to see what God does in and through us this week!

We kicked off our group time by hearing testimony from a man associated with Serve Orlando who has seen God move in his life in miraculous ways, followed by worship, a student testimony, and small groups.

Thank you Lord and thank you to the FIC community for all your prayers for safe travel!

The Unshakeable Life

Hebrews 12 speaks of…
A city you call home that is secure and will not be shaken,
a joyful people you can not lose,
the God who receives and welcomes you and invites you to draw near, Jesus Christ who shed his blood for you.

What God is offering is what your heart is longing for every moment of your entire life.

All the times of trying to prove yourself, needing to be enough, your attempt to belong, every need to feel ok, every restless night, every anxious thought, every moment you feel exposed… the security God offers is what your heart is actually longing for.

“All those roads lead to Hebrews 12, to this security, to this unshakeable reality. Those roads end at this city, with these people, and that God.”

He is risen!
He is risen indeed!

We can have a real and lasting hope in this life because of Easter: Jesus’ death on the cross, payment for our sins, and resurrection.

Thank you, Jesus!
Happy Easter, everyone!
