They are here! This past week has gone by like a whirlwind! Our Ukrainian family arrived very late on Wednesday night. Can you imagine the courage and trust this family must have had to travel here relying on strangers to come through when it was needed most? This family loves their apartment and met so many people from our church and parish this past Sunday who helped in so many ways to make this possible. We really can make a difference. Please don’t ever let anyone convince you otherwise! With a little help in the beginning, these beautiful people are already starting a new life in a safe place surrounded by caring people! Their little girl is very impressive and is already riding the bus to her new school where she is learning to speak English. It’s nothing short of a miracle. I have never been more convinced that everything is possible with God! 🙏🇺🇦🌻💕

A bit more progress in the apartment today! Karen and Debbie lined all the kitchen cabinets. My mom and I (Kelley) unpacked a few things and hung some art. The apartment for our Ukrainian family is really shaping up! Can’t wait for their arrival on 5/10! 🇺🇦🇺🇸💜

Who knew that five congregations in our Parish (Resurrection Lutheran Church) could come together and make such a wonderful apartment for a family from Ukraine? God did! And WOW! More pics to follow…💕🇺🇦

UPDATE: Our sponsored Ukrainian family is arriving on May 10th! We have found an apartment in Westminster for them. There are still a few items needed for Max, Diana, and Mira!
