Church of the Redeemer United Church of Christ is a community grounded in Christ and growing in service. Redeemer is

a middle-sized church with a good deal of small-church warmth and large-church ministry. Our vision calls us to invest in youth and children, widen our community service, deepen our faith and share it with others, and attract the next generation of disciples. We are a UCC Open and Affirming and Just Peace congregation.

"The story of COR began in one of those unlikely places, too … on top of an old vineyard. A shoot taken from an old rosebush and planted somewhere new. … and yet, by God’s grace, and a lot of hard work, it did. 72 years later, we are the beneficiaries of that unlikely beginning. … and now, it’s our turn. Today we will plant a white rose at our front entrance to celebrate the 20th anniversary of First Church Lakewood joining our ministry at Church of the Redeemer UCC. We also celebrate our graduates! Jeff Kirkby has set up a display of his works from the Cleveland Institute of Art. Come and worship God with us at 10:30 a.m. on this beautiful Sunday.
