After 14 incredible years of pouring her heart into our children, we bid a bittersweet farewell to Miriam, our beloved Sunday School teacher.

Miriam is relocating to be closer to family, and while we will miss her deeply, we are so grateful for the love and care she poured into our kids over the years, a love that truly embodied God's presence in their little lives. Thank you, Miriam! FCC will always be your home. 💛

✨We were honored to present this year's Marc Hardy Human Rights Award to Sadie Lavache during last Sunday's worship service. Sadie embodies the ideals at the heart of this award: dignity, respect, and the courageous advocacy for human rights.

The Marc Hardy Human Rights Award is presented each year to a student who demonstrates an exceptional commitment to human rights, reflecting the values Marc Hardy so passionately lived out as a beloved member of our FCC community. We are grateful to continue honoring his legacy through the incredible young people who carry that spirit forward. 💛

Patriots baseball, BBQ, fireworks, and great company—what a way to spend a summer evening! ⚾️👏

A group from our congregation gathered on Saturday night to cheer on the Patriots, enjoy some delicious BBQ, and cap off the night with a spectacular fireworks show. It was a wonderful opportunity to connect, laugh, and make memories together! ✨

On Wednesday night our Board members enjoyed BBQ & backyard vibes at the last board meeting hosted at Jenn & John’s home before summer break. ☀️

It was a perfect night to wrap up our year together and look forward to reconnecting in the Fall for exciting things ahead. ⛪️

We promised this wasn't planned, but when Suzanne and Ana arrived at the church office today in matching polka dots, a photo was absolutely required! 👯 😆

As an Open & Affirming church, we believe that every person, just as they are, is worthy of love, affirmation, and belonging. 🌈

Embodying this belief, we kicked off Pride Month by decorating our church lawn with rainbow hearts, each personally written by a member as a reminder of what allyship and being an Open & Affirming church means to them.

Come this Sunday to add your own heart! ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

What a Sunday to remember! 🙌

We are overjoyed to officially welcome five new families into our church home!

Then we released butterflies into the sky as part of our Annual Butterfly Fundraiser — each one a beautiful symbol of the gratitude in our hearts this year. 🦋

And the Annual Church Picnic?! The bounce house was an absolute hit — those kids gave it everything they had and came out absolutely wiped (the best kind of tired)! 😂🎉

This is what community looks like — new beginnings and grateful hearts. We wouldn't have it any other way. 💛

✨ Our Youth@First middle schoolers have been showing up with big hearts and big energy! 💛

From packing lunches for those in need to diving into real, thoughtful conversations about faith, our 5th–8th graders are proving that serving others can be joyful, meaningful, and a little silly too! Led by Joe Regan, Youth@First meets every Sunday during worship. Parents, if your 5th–8th grader is ready to serve, laugh, and grow, find all the details at fccofwestfield.org/youth.

Today our women's fellowship, "Readers and Riders" experienced a lesson in the traditional craft of spinning taught by Erika Belfiore Lange! 🧵✨

Attendees examined and compared a range of plant and animal fibers, gaining a deeper appreciation for the materials that shaped communities throughout history.

If you are interested in attending future "Readers and Riders" gatherings, please reach out to our church office at [email protected] for more details! 💌

🌧️💪 Rain couldn’t stop them!
A dedicated crew from FCC showed up (umbrellas optional!) to join the Rahway River Watershed cleanup this weekend. A huge thank you to Merry for leading the charge and to every muddy-booted volunteer who came out to care for our local waterways.
This is what love of neighbor and creation looks like in action. 🌿💧
