The Indiana Conference takes this responsibility seriously. Our employees and volunteers participate in child-safety training and undergo background checks. However, these efforts alone cannot guarantee the complete safety of our children.

This is where you, the local church members, come in. First, if you are volunteering with the children in your church, go through Sterling Volunteers training and background check. The more people in our churches who have gone through Sterling, the better. Start the process at https://www.ncsrisk.org/. Second, whether you are working with children or not, as you observe and interact with the children in your church, keep your eyes and ears open.
If you see or hear something that causes concern, don’t ignore it. Speak up and take appropriate action. Share your concerns with church leaders, such as Sabbath School teachers, Pathfinder or Adventurer leaders, or your pastor.

Together, by God’s grace, we can help keep our children safe.

During the recent Discovering Revelation evangelism series, roughly 80 community residents attended at least one night, and a core group of about 30 visitors eagerly attended virtually every night, relishing the opportunity to learn more life-changing truths from God’s Word.

By the end of the meetings, 16 new people were attending the Southside church on Sabbath mornings, 10 new people had made the decision to be baptized into Christ and His church, and 2 church members decided to be re-baptized.

Help Us Provide Flood Buckets

A flood bucket contains essential cleaning and recovery supplies that can help families begin cleaning their homes after flood waters have receded. These supplies provide practical assistance during a difficult and often overwhelming time.

We are asking our churches and members to help us provide these much-needed resources by making a financial donation through the Indiana Conference online giving page at: indysda.org.
When making your donation, please select or designate:

Pastor Joseph Capeles, wife Jamila, and Pastor Justo Morales, wife Marcella, were ordained to the Gospel Ministry on Sabbath June 6. Family and friends gathered in the Indiana Academy chapel for a beautiful ordination service. Camp meeting guest speaker Ty Gibson gave encouraging words, and each candidate had an opportunity to give a response. President Vic Van Schaik and Angela Van Schaik welcomed the group to ministry and presented gifts. There was an ordination prayer, and the Indiana Pastor's Chorus performed a song of commission.

Pastor Capeles pastors the Lafayette and Frankfort churches and the Lafayette Hispanic and Haitian Mission Groups. Pastor Morales pastors the Connersville, Muncie, and Richmond churches.
