I wanted to gently let you know that tomorrow’s meeting will include a conversation around infant loss and Sarah Fortner will be sharing her story. We know this can be a tender and deeply personal topic. If this is something that feels too heavy for you right now, please know there is absolutely no pressure to attend — we completely understand.

Our heart is always to create a safe space where we can support one another with compassion and grace. If you do join us, we’ll be holding space for each other with lots of love and care.

Dear MOPS & MomCo families,

What a great blessing MOPS, now MomCo, has been in Westfield & surrounding communities for the past 40 years!
In 1985, Elaine Brautigam learned about MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers). A young mom herself, Elaine traveled to Colorado with her nursing baby, to learn more about the MOPS ministry. Upon her return, she shared her vision with friends and with Pastor Watt of First Baptist Church, Westfield.
Pastor Watt offered use of the church fellowship hall, Sunday school rooms and nursery to accommodate the MOPS program twice a month. As preschool moms gathered for a morning of biblical teaching, crafts and fellowship, women from local churches lovingly cared for their preschoolers in the MOPPETS preschool program.
Elaine served many years in our local MOPS. Her role as Teaching Leader/Mentor Mom benefited so many women, as she taught us how to fulfill the God-given design for marriage and mothering. Elaine touched our lives in so many ways over those years.
On December 24, 2024, after bravely coping with a chronic progressive disease for seven years, Elaine was welcomed into Heaven. “Well done, good and faithful servant. Enter into the joy of your Lord.”
Please consider joining us in honoring Elaine, by sending a donation and/or a message about how MOPS(MomCO) impacted your life. Your messages will be shared with Elaine’s family, and we will bundle the donations and forward to Bethanykids.org. Elaine said she was “forever changed” by her time in Kijabe, Kenya, as she served in the pediatric ward at the Bethany’s Kids Hospital.
