The floods Hamilton County has experienced have been devastating and unexpected, to say the least. If you’ve been looking for a way to help, we’ve got a few options for you. 💙
ERT Basic Training prepares volunteers to safely respond in the aftermath of a disaster. Early Response Teams help prevent further damage by doing things like removing debris, tarping, and cleaning out flooded areas—all while providing a caring, compassionate presence to families during an incredibly difficult time.
A one-day ERT Basic Training will be held Saturday, September 12 from 8:30am–5:00pm at St. Luke’s UMC in Indianapolis. Lunch, snacks, and materials are provided. Scan the QR code on the graphic to register!
Not able to volunteer but still want to help? Financial donations are also needed to help with both immediate needs and long-term flood recovery. Local United Methodist churches are working together to support affected families with meals, supplies, transportation, and other needs as they arise.
