On this eve of Veteran’s Day, I’m reminded of all the men and women who have served our country and sacrificed for our freedoms. And not only those who have served, but their families. God, we pray for peace. But in its absence, we pray for courage and wisdom.

This year, the normal Halloween plans and activities seem a little iffy. Right? So we are inviting All Families to stop by WSBC on either Oct. 31 - Nov. 7 to take your own Family Photo or Selfie and taste Bb's Baby Donuts. We'll have a harvest-themed backdrop set up for you to capture a moment or two of joy with your kids. And if you're feeling generous:

Bring a Box of Cereal to give to Breakthrough Urban Ministries
Take a Shoebox to pack for Operation Christmas Child to give to a child in need. (We'll have more information available there and at https://wsbc.info/occ.)

We hope you'll stop on by, and of course, we'll stay safe and socially distant.

Many women can relate personally to the loss of an infant. Our family life has been shaped by two losses (2001 & 2010).

Through the deep valley of grief, there is hope...eternal hope...that there is purpose in our pain and that our little ones are known and loved by our good, heavenly Father.

If you have faced the loss of a baby, feel free to comment. None of us wanted to join this club, but are willing to support you in any way we can. It’s easy to feel very alone in grief. Let us share your grief and pray for you.
