Easy to make English Muffins. Look at the ingredients. Which do you prefer?
HOMEMADE ENGLISH MUFFIN INGREDIENTS: flour, milk, butter, sugar, yeast, salt. Cornmeal optional.
GREAT VALUE ENGLISH MUFFIN INGREDIENTS: enriched bleached malted flour (bleached wheat flour, malted barley flour, niacin, ferrous sulfate, thiamine mononitrate, riboflavin, folic acid), water, milk, yeast. contains 2% or less of each of the following: wheat gluten, potato flour, sugar, salt, degermed yellow corn meal and degermed yellow corn flour, leaving (sodium bicarbonate, sodium aluminum sulfate, calcium sulfate, monocalcium phosphate), acid buttermilk (buttermilk, whey, sodium caseinate [from milk], lactic acid), butter (cream, salt), preservatives (calcium propionate, sorbic acid, potassium sorbate), fumaric acid, fully hydrogenated soybean oil, citric acid, enzymes, ascorbic acid (dough conditioner).

Purim is coming up in less than one month. Haven't celebrated in forever? Temple Emanuel in Pueblo is holding a megillah reading and luncheon. Costumes encouraged! Prizes for everyone in costume, young or not so young. Silent auction as a religious school fundraiser since only 25% of the families have the means to pay tuition. AND hamantaschen! What's hamantaschen? A delicious cookie. Need the recipe? Need help gathering ingredients? Just want a cookie? Let us know.
