On Saturday, August 22, 2026, Edward F. McSweeney Assembly 400 installed its officers for the 2026-2027 Fraternal Year. Congratulations to new Faithful Navigator Ron Martel and his leadership team as we start another year of patriotic service to our communities.

We also want to thank District Master Stanley Ciukaj for his years of leadership and support.

Happy 250th birthday, America!

Earlier this year, the National Constitution Center gave the 2026 Liberty Medal to Pope Leo XIV. Please watch video of the medal presentation and the Holy Father's acceptance of this award. In his speech, the Pope reflects on core principles of the American founding: the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness and that all men and women are created equal.

What makes America great is that anyone regardless of their race, faith, or nation of origin can become an American by accepting these principles.

The Knights of Columbus created Fourth Degree Assemblies like Edward F. McSweeney Assembly 400 to help Catholic men live those principles every day.

Edward F. McSweeney Assembly 400 held out annual Communion Breakfast following mass at Saint Bernadette Church in Northborough. We thank the Rev. Ronald Falco for welcoming us in the Church.

Two hundred fifty one years ago today, a group of farmers, tradesmen, artisans and other everyday people stood up to the most powerful empire in the world at then-unknown places called Lexington and Concord, starting the most important revolution in history.

To those Minutemen and patriots who stood on Lexington Green and Concord's North Bridge, to their successors who served at places like Saratoga, Yorktown, New Orleans, Bull Run, Gettysburg, San Juan Hill, Belleau Wood, Normandy, Iwo Jima, Inchon, Khe Sanh, Beirut, Somalia, Iraq, Afghanistan, we say thank you for your service.

To those in harm's way today in places like Iran, we pray for your safe return to your families and your homes.

We wish all a peaceful Patriots Day.
