The Congregational Church of Westborough

The Congregational Church of Westborough Our vision: OPEN DOORS - GROWING FAITH We trust in God. In life, in death, in life beyond death, God is with us. We are not alone.

The Congregational Church of Westborough, as a member of the United Church of Christ, honors the Apostles' and Nicene Creed, along with Christians from all denominations around the world. In addition, we read this Affirmation of Faith together every Communion Sunday:

Affirmation of Faith:

"The Congregational Church of Westborough, as a member of the United Church of Christ, honors the Apostles'

and Nicene Creed, along with Christians from all denominations around the world. In addition, we read this Statement of Faith together every Communion Sunday:

“We are not alone, we live in God’s world. We believe in God; who has created and is creating, who has come in Jesus, the Word made flesh, to reconcile and make new, who works in us and others by the Spirit. We are called to be the church; to celebrate God’s presence, to love and serve others, to seek justice and resist evil, to proclaim Jesus crucified and risen, our Judge and our Hope. Thanks be to God.”

Finally, our church passed in May of 2013 this Statement of Inclusion:

We, the people of the Congregational Church of Westborough, United Church of Christ, believe that all people are created equal, in God’s image. “We are all God’s children.” In our journey of faith, we strive for justice and equality for all. We invite and welcome into our community and into the full life and Christian ministry of this church, persons of every race, ethnicity, age, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, family structure, faith background, economic circumstance, mental and physical ability. We say, and mean, “No matter who you are, or where you are on life’s journey, you are welcome here.”

We declare ourselves an Open and Affirming Christian community, actively expressing our belief in diversity and inclusion. We seek to be a faith community centered in Christ, ready to proclaim the Gospel and seek to grow through the transformative power of the Holy Spirit. We offer to each person acceptance and the responsibilities and blessings of participation in this congregation.

This Pride Month, we celebrate the beautiful diversity of God's creation and affirm the dignity, worth, and belovedness of every person.

As an Open and Affirming congregation, the Congregational Church of Westborough welcomes and embraces people of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and expressions. We believe that God's love knows no boundaries and that every person is a beloved child of God.

Pride Month is an important opportunity to recognize the history, contributions, and ongoing journey of LGBTQ+ individuals and communities. It is also a time to recommit ourselves to building a world rooted in love, justice, compassion, and belonging.

No matter who you are or where you are on life's journey, you are welcome here.

Happy Pride Month. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

Where have you experienced mercy when you least expected it—and how might God be calling you to extend that same grace to others?

This Sunday, we reflect on God’s unlimited mercy—a love that meets us in our imperfections, lifts our burdens, and never runs dry. It’s a mercy that not only restores us, but reshapes how we show compassion in the world around us.

All are welcome to join us in worship.

What might change if we trusted God enough to be still, listen closely, and let go of our worries? ✨🙏🕊️

On Trinity Sunday, we reflect on the nearness of God—known to us as Creator, Christ, and Holy Spirit. In every season, God calls us into quiet trust, steady presence, and deeper love for one another.

All are welcome to join us in worship.
