This group is designed to help you connect to others in the HOPE community ages 50 and up as we reach out to the world around us to share the everlasting love of Christ. The 50+ Ministry seeks to enrich the lives of 50+ adults by offering engaging activities to fulfill their social, vocational, spiritual, intellectual, emotional, physical and relational needs, so the world is blessed by their pres

We enjoyed the beautiful photography and stories behind them with former Des Moines Register photographer Bob Nandell. He was our featured speaker at another fantastic 50 + Ministry luncheon yesterday at Hope. He shared many feature photos and included aerial photos of the floods of ‘93 and the Pope’s visit in 1979 among others. At age 81, he encouraged us to keep serving our families, churches, and communities!

Pastor Caroline is teaching a new in-person class this fall called "Exploring the Bible: Israel's Early History." This class explores the overarching story of the Bible and how it remains relevant today. It will incorporate the political, historical and cultural background of biblical times while studying the major themes, characters and events that are recorded. In this first section, we will journey from the stories of creation in Genesis through the wilderness wanderings in Deuteronomy. Another fantastic turnout at our 50+ Luncheon today at Hope. Tisa Johnson with Senior Transition Services spoke on "Making it Right, a Downsizing Pep Talk." Our devotion was on the "spiritual practice of shedding stuff" - things, time, paper, and mental clutter - that prevents us from moving forward with our lives. It's time to do some fall cleaning!
