On Covenant Sunday, we kick off a new program year! We also drop into the complicated story of Joseph in Genesis 37. We give thanks that God is always working for good in the world, even beyond what we or anyone else can do on our own!

doesn’t stop at the neighbors we identify with. In Matthew 5:38-48 and Romans 12:9-21, the tells us that following means loving our enemies just as he loves us. That’s the truly countercultural challenge of Christianity!

WE NEED YOUR HELP!
Covenant’s Mission in Action Committee is preparing to serve a meal to 250 of our neighbors at Central Iowa Shelter & Services on Saturday, September 19, and we still need many helping hands to make it happen!

There are several ways you can help: donate needed groceries, provide a baked dessert, or volunteer to help cook and serve the meal. We especially need volunteers for the day of the event, and every donation and helping hand makes a difference.

Jesus teaches us to be so honest that we don't need to remind people we're telling the truth. When gives an impossible teaching like this, he's also making a that this is what the Kingdom of God is like.
