We’re excited to welcome Luke Akins to our team as a Pastoral Resident! Many of you already know Luke through his awesome leadership in our Student Ministries.

Luke will be a senior at Faith Baptist Bible College, where he is majoring in Pastoral Studies with an emphasis in Counseling.

Be sure to introduce yourself and say hello to Luke this week. We’re grateful to have him serving alongside us!

Join us in reading our Psalm of the Month: Psalm 34:1-10. Praise the Lord for His goodness to us!

I will bless the Lord at all times;
his praise will always be on my lips.

I will boast in the Lord;
the humble will hear and be glad.

Proclaim the Lord’s greatness with me;
let us exalt his name together.

I sought the Lord,
and he answered me
and rescued me from all my fears.

Those who look to him
are radiant with joy;
their faces will never be ashamed.

This poor man cried,
and the Lord heard him
and saved him from all his troubles.

The angel of the Lord encamps
around those who fear him,
and rescues them.

Taste and see that the Lord is good.
How happy is the person who
takes refuge in him!

You who are his holy ones,
fear the Lord,
for those who fear him
lack nothing.

Young lions lack food
and go hungry,
but those who seek the Lord
will not lack any good thing.

VBS is coming up quickly on June 8-11 from 6 to 8 pm! Be sure to pass out door hangers and invite the kids in your neighborhood to join us for a fun week of Vacation Bible School!

Today we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who have given their lives in service to our country.

We grieve with those who have lost loved ones, reflect with gratitude on the freedoms we enjoy, and thank God for the sacrifices made on our behalf.
