How does the story of Jesus as a warrior coming to rescue me change how I see him? Does understanding that Jesus didn’t only do this for me change how I see and treat others?

“Through the Rescue Project I have a better understanding and appreciation of God’s love.” - Lisa A.

Join us for The Rescue Project from September 29 to November 10, 6:30–8:30 pm in the Serra Room, where you’ll explore thought-provoking questions, like these, with friends. The retreat is November 7, 7:15 am - 2:00 pm.

We look forward to seeing you there!

FrancisFest is back—and this year, we have even more to celebrate!

For 35 years, St. Francis of Assisi has been a place where people come together to worship, grow in faith, serve others, and build community.
Now it’s time to celebrate!

Join us for FrancisFest on Sunday, October 4, as we celebrate our parish family and the many blessings God has given us over the past 35 years.

The celebration begins with 11:30 am Mass, followed by an afternoon of free food, family fun, bingo, bounce houses, parish groups and our annual pet blessing.

Whether you’ve been part of St. Francis for 35 years or you’re brand new, you’re part of this family—and we’d love to celebrate with you!

Every beautiful liturgy begins with people willing to share their gifts.

At St. Francis, there are many ways to serve—whether you enjoy welcoming others, proclaiming Scripture, serving at the altar, or helping lead our community in prayer.

Not sure where you fit? No experience is needed! We provide the training and support to help you feel confident and comfortable in your ministry.

God has given each of us unique gifts. How is He calling you to share yours?

To learn more about liturgical ministry, contact Emily Schmid at [email protected]. We'd love to help you find a ministry that's right for you!

Learning about the saints can inspire us to live our faith in action.

During Mass, Fr. Protas recently shared the story of St. Peter Claver, a Jesuit priest who dedicated his life to serving enslaved people and became known as the “slave to the slaves.”

St. Peter Claver brought what he could to those who were suffering—offering care, compassion and dignity to people in desperate need.

His example challenges us to ask: What can we bring to those in need today?

May his example inspire us to see Christ in those who need our help—and respond with love.

Reconciliation begins with a decision.

Healing a relationship isn’t always easy. It begins when someone is willing to say, “This is not okay,” acknowledge the harm that has been caused, and take steps toward making things right.

But reconciliation also asks something of us: Can we welcome someone home when they recognize the hurt they’ve caused?

Sometimes, the most powerful step toward reconciliation is simply opening the door and saying, “Welcome home.”

Timber!

Today, we had to remove some trees to prepare the way for the next phase of construction—moving some earth and making room for what’s ahead.

And if you’ve never watched professionals take down a tree, it’s pretty amazing to see! There’s something impressive about the skill, precision, and teamwork that goes into it… if you can get past the chainsaw noise.

One step at a time, we’re watching our campus transform and build for the future.

Life can feel overwhelming. Sometimes, we simply need a quiet place to step away from the noise, pray, and be with Jesus.

At St. Francis, you are always welcome to spend time with the Lord. Visit the church whenever our doors are open and pray before the tabernacle, or spend time with Jesus in the St. Clare Adoration Chapel Monday–Friday from 6:00 am to 8:00 pm.

In the Blessed Sacrament, Christ is truly present—ready to listen, comfort, strengthen, and guide us.

Whatever you're carrying today, bring it to Jesus. He is here for you.
