The truest way for us to express the love we say we have is through our deeds. Our actions are a reflection of our thoughts and what we keep in our heart. Think of your actions, do they speak love or are they contrary to God’s love?

Three verses really stuck out to me during this period of self reflection. 2 Corinthians 10:5, the verse above, and the two below:

James 4:10 - Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.

1 Peter 5:6-7 - Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

Dear God, I put my trust in you and you alone. Father, may I never stray from the path you have set before me. May my life be an expression of your love, your holiness, and your righteousness. Lord, I pray for any of my friends, family, and colleagues who have not known you yet. Father, may you help me minister to them effectively so that they receive salvation. May they see the error in their ways, O Lord, and may their hearts be convicted of their sin. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

When we receive Jesus as our Lord and Savior, the Holy Spirit also comes and lives in us. With the help of the Holy Spirit, we can be witnesses of Christ. We don’t have to be a certain place to talk about Jesus and be a witness to Him. We can show others the love of Jesus in our own homes to our family, in our office to our co-workers, and in the towns we live in. We are called to be a witness everywhere we go. Wherever God has you right now is where he wants you to be a witness for Him.

If God has given us godly leaders to watch over our souls and to help us in our Christian walk, we should be thankful to God for that. We should be willing to give help to support them in their ministry, both because we have benefited from it and because we want others to benefit from it as well.
