Christmas is very quickly approaching; we all are so blessed to serve this Lord, who this special holiday is dedicated to. Luke 2:1-20 is the ultimate Christmas story about Jesus’ birth.

We first see God’s Divine Providence. Almost 700 years before His birth, Micah prophesied that Jesus would be born in Bethlehem! God arranged everything perfectly in his timing and manner for this special miracle to occur in this specific town.

Next, we see a promised delivery of our Lord and Savior. The King of Kings was born in a lowly manager in Bethlehem! The manner of his birth: no room in the inn, born in a manger, wrapped in swaddling clothes, and shepherds finding them first all foreshadow His future. People feel they do not have room for Jesus in their life or that they are not “good enough” to serve Him. Our Lord is available to EVERYONE no matter the circumstances! And, the swaddling clothes foreshadow his death and resurrection that He would live and die for each and everyone of us!

Then, we see a powerful display of God’s beautiful glory. Luke 2: 13-14 states, “Suddenly, the angel was joined by a vast host of others—the armies of heaven—praising God and saying, “Glory to God in highest heaven, and peace on earth to those with whom God is pleased.” A heavenly host appeared to the Shepherds to tell them the good news! The shepherds went to see Jesus in the manger out of curiosity but they left with His Glory and spread the good news even further!

In this Christmas Season, remember that God gave His only son for each and every one of you to live a life eternally with Jesus. Enjoy this season and praise the Lord! ❤️

Last Sunday, Pastor Jim preached about Mark 10:17-31; a story about a man rich in financial wealth but poor in spirit. This specific man had everything he could ever want and more on Earth, but refused to let his earthly belongings go in order to follow Jesus.

Jesus had a conversation with this man about the 10 commandments, and He specifically left out coveting because He knew that was this mans’ weakness. This man came with the right energy, at the right time, and with the right questions, but he left the conversation in sorrow when Jesus said “Sell all your possessions and follow me.” This man refused to give up his pridefulness and idolization of his material things to serve God.

Matthew 6:24 says, “No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other; you will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and be enslaved to money.” We let many things take control of our lives like money, social media, work, etc., but we must remain diligent in maintaining God as our top priority in life!

Last Sunday, Pastor Jim preached on Acts chapter 4 focusing on the verses of 13-19.

Here is a just brief overview of that chapter: Peter and John, apostles of Jesus, were spreading the good news and performing miracles in Jesus’ name with His power. There were sundry people saved and a disabled man that was miraculously healed! Even though Peter and John were ordinary people, they were able to speak confidently by their trust through Jesus Christ.

God, His power, His miracles, and His message CANNOT be denied! God speaks through and performs miracles through ordinary people just like us every single day. He can take the weakest person and make them the greatest person in his perfect timing. There is NOTHING God cannot do in your life! Open your heart and live your life through Jesus; spread the good news like Peter and John and praise our Dear Lord daily! ❤️

Join us this coming Sunday at 10:30am for Jim’s next message!

This week concluded the 3 part series Pastor Jim titled “The Generous Life.” He reiterated the fact that you can bless those around you by being generous in ways more than just with money including: thoughts, words, time, influence, attention, and belongings.

Pastor Jim broke down generosity into three parts: desire, action, and now IMPACT. He chose the analogy of “The Ripple Effect” of a rock being thrown into water; you don’t have to see the origin of impact to know that the impact is never-ending!

Jim continued preaching by reading out of Acts 2:42-47 and 2 Corinthians 8:7, essentially telling us that generosity inspires generosity. We as Christians need to be more aware and intentional in becoming more active in growing our impact on those around us! Sometimes we may be discouraged in being generous, but we need to remember that we need to fulfill our obligation to God. In this way others may see God for who He is and they can glorify our Father in Heaven.

Pray every day that you can experience the joy of being generous and that God can give us the opportunities to live it daily!

Last Sunday began a 3 week series about generosity. Pastor Jim discussed that in order for us to be generous, we first must become AWARE. Be fully present in every moment and engage with others; in this way, we can then see opportunities to be generous.

Here are 7 simple ways to become more generous in your life with your …

1. Thoughts
2. Words
3. Money
4. Influence
5. Time
6. Attention
7. Belongings

Ask God each morning to make your more aware of situations so that you can increase your generosity!

This morning, Jim discussed generosity becoming an ACTION. We must purposefully make it a habit to seek out these opportunities; they are everywhere!

We all know how to be generous, but we let our own personal limitations hold us back. Whether it be lack of confidence to speak up, lack of money, lack of time, etc. God will ALWAYS provide!! If we have the faith to look past our personal limitations, He will use us to change the lives of those around us.

This is the answer to the million dollar question of How?: What we have + Who God is = ENOUGH. Proverbs 11:24 (NLT) says, “Give freely and become more wealthy; be stingy and lose everything.”

Tune in next week for the third and final part of this series!

This morning, Pastor Jim preached on the “Year of the Jubilee” and how it symbolizes our salvation with Christ.

Jubilee is essentially the Sabbath of Sabbaths that occurred every 49 years in before the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. On the 50th year, a FULL year of Sabbath was to be held. Leviticus 25:11-12 says, “That fiftieth year will be your jubilee; you must not sow the land, harvest its aftergrowth, or pick the grapes of its unpruned vines. Because that year is a jubilee, it will be holy to you – you may eat its produce from the field.” God provided (as He has always done and shall always do) and there was complete rest and Sabbath for this 50th year.

We read through Leviticus 25:23-34. These verses speak on the houses of the Levites being restored to their rightful owners and personal debt being forgiven during this time of Jubilee. This story also shows how we can find rest and forgiveness in the Lord; He is our Jubilee!

Matthew 6:21 says “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Redemption cannot be obtained from good works alone, we must give our lives and hearts to God in full and know that this world is not our home; our eternal, heavenly home awaits us! Likewise, we NEED to act as kinsmen to others to help them through their journey of redemption and a personal relationship with God.

We hope you all have a wonderful week 😊

This week at Faith Baptist Church, Jim preached that “He’s still God and still in Control.”

God is more than worthy to be praised in not only on the mountain top, but in the valley. 1 Chronicles 16:25 says, “For great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised: He also is to be feared above all gods.”

1. Though the government denies Him, He is in control

- Daniel 3 beginning in verses 17-18; “If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.” Regardless of what the future holds for America, God will ALWAYS be in control!

2. Though the world denies Him, He is still God

- Daniel 3:7 says, “Therefore at that time, when all the people heard the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and all kinds of musick, all the people, the nations, and the languages, fell down and worshipped the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up.” Though the world rejects Him, we can rest in the fact that He is still God and still in control.

3. Though his followers forsake Him, He is still
God

- Luke 16:13 says, “No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.” We cannot be “lukewarm” in our relationship with God or other masters will overtake our relationship with Him! Fill yourself with God’s word every day, not just on Sunday mornings!

4. Even though trials and/or tribulations happen in our life, He is still God and still in control

- Daniel 3 depicts the story of how King Nebuchadnezzar persecuted those who did not worship his false gods. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego refused to and were to be cast into the firery furnace for their disobedience to the earthly king. When the king did throw them in, Daniel 3:25 says, “He (Nebuchadnezzar) answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.” God was with them and no harm came their way! Hallelujah!

If you’re searching for a place to call home, join us for our Sunday morning service at 10:30am, Sunday evening service at 7pm, or Wednesday Bible Studay at 7pm! Bring your kiddos for Sunday School starting at 9:30am as well!

Hello all, we hope you are having a blessed Sunday afternoon. We wanted to post a small recap of our service this morning 😊

Pastor Jim preached about hopelessness and loneliness; God gives us the strength and resources to break through these feelings!

-NEVER stop praying! Matthew 7:7 says, “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:” God always hears and answers our prayers in His special timing and manner.

-NEVER stop persevering! 2 Corinthians 12:9 says, “And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” His glorious grace is ALWAYS sufficient for any needs laid before Him.

-NEVER stop praising! Even through the trials and tribulations of life, God is continuously blessing us. Name your blessings daily and He will lift your spirits! Psalm 71:14-15 says, “But I will hope continually, And will yet praise thee more and more. My mouth shall shew forth thy righteousness and thy salvation all the day; For I know not the numbers thereof.”

We hope you enjoyed this recap of our service. Join us next Sunday at 10:30am to see us in person! Starting on September 5th our Sunday school service will begin at 9:30am. Additionally, we will be having a cookout on September 5th at 6pm with hotdogs and covered dishes in the pavilion behind the Church. We hope to see you all soon! ❤️
