Society of St. Vincent de Paul, Our Lady of Grace Conference Society of Saint Vincent de Paul, Our Lady of Grace Conference Our Lady of Grace Conference is affiliated with the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, U.S. Council.

Vincent de Paul, Sacramento Diocese and the Society of St. Membership is open to all in accordance with the statutes and guidelines of the U.S. Council and the Sacramento District Council. The essential purposes of the SVDP OLG Conference for its members, guided by the Vincentian Rule and consistent with the National Council Mission Statement, are: 1) spiritual growth in Christ; 2) friendship in C

hrist; and 3) service with hope in Christ. As a reflection of the whole family of God, members, who are known as Vincentians, are drawn from every ethnic and cultural background, age group, and economic level. Vincentians are united in an international society of charity by their spirit of poverty, humility and sharing, which is nourished by prayer and reflection, mutually supportive gatherings and adherence to a basic Rule. Organized locally, Vincentians witness God's love by embracing all works of charity and justice. The Society collaborates with other people of good will in relieving need and addressing its causes, making no distinction in those served because, in them, Vincentians see the face of Christ.

Today we celebrate 180 years of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul in the United States!

On this day in 1845, the first SVdP Conference gathered at the Old Cathedral in St. Louis, beginning a movement of faith, friendship, and service that still transforms lives today.

To the nearly 81,000 Vincentian volunteers who continue this mission with love and humility — thank you. 💙

Today we joyfully celebrate the feast day of our patron, St. Vincent de Paul!

St. Vincent once reminded his confreres that, “God asks primarily for our heart — our heart — and that’s what counts.” On this feast day, we ask for his intercession so that we, too, may surrender our hearts to God and live lives of true charity in service of our neighbors in need.
