"For us, the Kingdom of God is not just something we hope for when we die but something we are trying to bring on earth as we live. We are Christ-followers from different backgrounds and walks of life, denominations, and purposes committed to building the kingdom of God. We believe that in various ways, we are all the poor, widow, and the orphan; in one way or another "the least of these". (Matt 2
5:40 - 45)
We desire to meet people where they are, providing physical needs while giving hope and purpose through the Gospel. Our goal is not a handout, but a hand up, to take people off the streets and teach them life skills for wholeness, to discover their purpose, and to fully embrace life. Different people are different, and a single solution is only sufficient for the individual it’s designed to impact. The worst situation we could imagine being in is often the best opportunity for changing our lives. We always strive to provide God’s best in everyone’s situation. Whether good or bad, we never stand in the way of each person. Full of sorrow, we stand by and watch people destroy themselves by their own choices – and subsequently celebrate joyfully when they choose success. We don’t require people to be what they are not – we only require that they accept who they really are. We work in the reality that sin leads to destruction. It is not up to us to punish recklessness and irresponsibility. When others look for ways to turn broken people away, we find ways to make it harder for them to leave. No matter the outcome, they always have a stable, loving, caring, Gospel-centered community to come to. In unity, we are made whole; by His grace – for His glory. We have resources at hand to help in areas such as:
housing
budgeting
life skills
counseling/discipleship
transportation
vocation
fulfillment of legal obligations
