John Manns explique pourquoi nous sommes des Adventistes du Septième Jour Libres :

« NEUVIÈME RAISON d'être Église Adventiste du Septième Jour Libre : « parce que les dirigeants blancs de la dénomination Adventiste du Septième Jour discriminent les personnes [noires]. Ils le font… en pratiquant la discrimination au sein de l'organisation, de l'église, des bureaux, des écoles, des sanatoriums, alors même que les membres [noirs] doivent faire de grands sacrifices pour contribuer à la construction de ces merveilleuses institutions qui appartiennent désormais à la dénomination Adventiste du Septième Jour.
Ils le font… en pratiquant la discrimination au sein de l'organisation, de l'église, des bureaux, des écoles, des sanatoriums, alors même que les membres [noirs] doivent faire de grands sacrifices pour contribuer à la construction de ces merveilleuses institutions qui appartiennent désormais à la dénomination Adventiste du Septième Jour.

Enfin, Manns donne trois autres raisons d'être Église Adventiste du Septième Jour Libre :
DIXIÈME. Nous sommes libres parce que les Adventistes du Septième Jour [noirs] sont, en règle générale, exclus des écoles adventistes du Nord et de l'Ouest, alors que les écoles protestantes ne font aucune distinction entre les races.
ONZIÈME. Nous sommes libres parce que les dirigeants blancs de la dénomination Adventiste du Septième Jour interdisent même l'accès de leurs sanatoriums aux patients adventistes du Septième Jour [noirs], alors que les institutions laïques du même type accueillent les personnes [afro-américaines] de tous horizons.
DOUZIÈME. Nous sommes libres parce que les Adventistes du Septième Jour [noirs] sont exclus de tout poste clérical au sein des maisons d'édition, des sociétés de diffusion de tracts et des bureaux de conférence adventistes du Septième Jour.
Bon nombre des problèmes cités par Manns sont repris par le Comité pour l'avancement d'une œuvre mondiale parmi les Adventistes du Septième Jour de couleur, ce qui signifie que Manns était en avance sur son temps. »
Comme vous pouvez le constater, l'Église Adventiste du Septième Jour Libre n'a jamais eu de divergence doctrinale par rapport à l'Église Adventiste du Septième Jour traditionnelle. Contrairement à cette dernière, l'Église Adventiste du Septième Jour Libre défend les mêmes principes que Dieu a donnés à son peuple il y a environ 170 ans.

Après avoir entrepris l’œuvre de notre rédemption, il n’épargnera rien de ce qui lui est cher pour achever cette œuvre. Aucune vérité essentielle à notre salut n’est refusée, aucun miracle de grâce n’est négligé, aucun moyen divin ne reste sans emploi. Une grâce est ajoutée à une grâce, un don à un don. Tout le trésor du ciel s’ouvre pour ceux qu’il veut sauver. Ayant rassemblé les richesses de l’univers, et déployé les ressources de sa puissance infinie, il remet tout entre les mains du Christ, en lui disant: Tout ceci est pour l’homme. Use de ces dons pour lui apprendre qu’il n’y a pas de plus grand amour que le mien sur la terre ou dans les cieux. C’est en m’aimant qu’il trouvera son plus parfait bonheur. {JC 40.4}
Having undertaken our redemption, He will spare nothing, however dear, which is necessary to the completion of His work. No truth essential to our salvation is withheld, no miracle of mercy is neglected, no divine agency is left unemployed. Favor is heaped upon favor, gift upon gift. The whole treasury of heaven is open to those He seeks to save. Having collected the riches of the universe, and laid open the resources of infinite power, He gives them all into the hands of Christ, and says, All these are for man. Use these gifts to convince him that there is no love greater than Mine in earth or heaven. His greatest happiness will be found in loving Me. {DA 57.1}

Those who are light bearers need to be educated in regard to health reform. As this is the very work to be done for this time, the Lord has given light upon it. This subject has been presented in the churches, but the light has not been received. The selfish, health-destroying indulgences of men and women have counteracted the influence of the message that is to prepare a people for the great day of God. {21MR 34.2}
If the churches expect strength, they must live the truth God has given them. If the members of our churches show that they care not for the light on health reform, but continue to walk in the light of the sparks of their own kindling, they will lie down in sorrow. And the painful part of the history is that the influence of these older church members will leaven those newly come to the faith. The Lord could not now bring many souls into the truth because of the church members that have never been converted and those who were once converted but who have backslidden. What good would these unconsecrated members do the new converts? They would make of none effect the message God has given His people to bear. {21MR 34.3}

God has not singled out a few men for His favor and left others uncared for. He will not lift up one and cast down and oppress another. All who are truly converted will manifest the same spirit. They will treat their fellow men as they would treat Christ. No one will ignore the rights of another. {7T 209.5}

Will the people of God now arouse from their carnal lethargy? Will they make the most of present blessings and warnings, and let nothing come between their souls and the light God would have shine upon them? Let every worker for God comprehend the situation and place the Sentinel before our churches, explaining its contents and urging home the facts and warnings it contains. May the Lord help all to redeem the time! Let not unsanctified feelings lead any to resist the appeals of the Spirit of God. Stand not in the way of this light; let it not be disregarded or set aside as unworthy of attention or credence. {5T 720.1}
If you wait for light to come in a way that will please everyone, you will wait in vain. If you wait for louder calls or better opportunities, the light will be withdrawn, and you will be left in darkness. Accept every ray of light that God sends. Men who neglect to heed the calls of the Spirit and word of God, because obedience involves a cross, will lose their souls. When the books are opened, and every man’s work and the motives that prompted him are scrutinized by the Judge of all the earth, they will see what a loss they have sustained. We should ever cherish the fear of the Lord and realize that, individually, we are standing before the Lord of hosts, and no thought, no word, no act in connection with the work of God, should savor of selfishness or of indifference. {5T 720.2}

Brethren and friends, think about this!
In the schools of today the conclusions that learned men have reached as the result of their scientific investigations are carefully taught and fully explained; while the impression is distinctly given that if these learned men are correct, the Bible cannot be. Skepticism is attractive to the human mind. The youth see in it an independence that captivates the imagination, and they are deceived. Satan triumphs; it is altogether as he meant it should be. He nourishes every seed of doubt that is sown in young hearts. He causes it to grow and bear fruit, and soon a plentiful harvest of infidelity is reaped. {8T 305.2}
It is because the human heart is inclined to evil that there is so great danger in sowing the seeds of skepticism in young minds. Whatever weakens faith in God, robs the soul of power to resist temptation. It removes the only real safeguard against sin. {8T 305.3}

The advancement of the church is re****ed by the wrong course of its members. Uniting with the church, although an important and necessary act, does not make one a Christian nor ensure salvation. We cannot secure a title to heaven by having our names enrolled upon the church book while our hearts are alienated from Christ. We should be His faithful representatives on earth, working in unison with Him. “Beloved, now are we the sons of God.” We should keep in mind this holy relationship and do nothing to bring dishonor upon our Father’s cause. {4T 16.2}
Our profession is an exalted one. As Sabbathkeeping Adventists we profess to obey all God’s commandments and to be looking for the coming of our Redeemer. A most solemn message of warning has been entrusted to God’s faithful few. We should show by our words and works that we recognize the great responsibility laid upon us. Our light should shine so clearly that others can see that we glorify the Father in our daily lives; that we are connected with heaven and are joint heirs with Jesus Christ, that when He shall appear in power and great glory, we shall be like Him. {4T 16.3}
We should all feel our individual responsibility as members of the visible church and workers in the vineyard of the Lord. We should not wait for our brethren, who are as frail as ourselves, to help us along; for our precious Saviour has invited us to join ourselves to Him and unite our weakness with His strength, our ignorance with His wisdom, our unworthiness with His merit. None of us can occupy a neutral position; our influence will tell for or against. We are active agents for Christ or for the enemy. We either gather with Jesus or scatter abroad. True conversion is a radical change. The very drift of the mind and bent of the heart should be turned and life become new again in Christ. {4T 16.4}

Good Morning to you all. Let's read some real history today about a SDA leader in the 1950".
Leroy Edwin Froom [1890 – 1974]
Leroy E. Froom was best known in the Seventh-day Adventist church for his work as editor for several church publications, a church historian, secretary of the General Conference Ministerial Association, and author of several books. He was also a musician.
Froom was born in Belvedere, Illinois. He studied at Pacific Union College and Walla Walla College before graduating from Washington Training Center. There are mixed stories about Leroy E. Froom along with a connection to the Catholic church. History shows he had a yearning to cross the divide between us and the others and unite the Adventist church with Evangelicals and just about anyone else. To be accepted and not be classified as a cult as the testimony of the 1950’s Evangelical Conference will show.
But for now, we will delve into his writings and actions and you will see some real efforts by him, trying to bring the Trinitarian doctrine into the Adventist church. This was already being influenced by Herbert Lacey with other traces coming from A.G. Daniells, W.W. Prescott and F.M. Wilcox. Leroy E. Froom would be one of a few key individuals that would succeed in this mission.
