Cantor Carol grew up in Detroit, Michigan in a musical Family. She has a Master’s Degree in Education from Eastern Michigan University and taught Special Needs children for 28 years in Michigan and Florida. Her Dad, Sam Robbins, played with Kenny Borrell , Buddy Rich, as well as many local and International Greats. Mom, Shirley, was a singer. Sister Flo, educator and violinist, has been featured on albums with the Wynans, Aretha Franklin and others, and is featured on both of Carol's albums. Sister Irene lives in Italy, and has performed, produced and recorded with many Jazz Greats, as well as featured on Carol’s new album!
