The survival and self-improvement programs of the religious systems of this world veil the minds of the unbelievers, exploiting their ignorance about their true origin and their redeemed innocence. The veil of unbelief obstructs a person's view and keeps them from seeing what the light of the gospel so clearly reveals: the glory of God is the image and likeness of our Maker redeemed in human form; this is what the gospel of Christ is all about. 2 Cor. 4:4

“Jesus never pitted Himself against a government or ruling body. His teaching and actions offended the Jewish traditions because He brought change to the established traditions regarding God and men, but He never sought to overthrow or undermine the ruling government. To do so would have meant to seek equality with human governments and the powers that establish them. Jesus already had “all authority... in heaven and on earth” given to Him from the throne of heaven. Jesus’ kingdom is the Kingdom of Heaven.” (Sam Soleyn…”On Earth As It Is In Heaven”) Eph. 1:19-21

THE CULTURE OF THE KINGDOM is unique and different from all other racial, ethnic, historic, political, economic, and social cultures. You must be dead to every other consideration and born again of the Spirit to enter that kingdom. (Romans 8:11-14). WHERE ARE YOU IN THAT PROCESS?

The world provides us with unlimited opportunities to seek temporary happiness as a distraction to the eternal joy that is available ONLY in Christ.

If we build according to the convenience of man, it cannot serve the purposes of God. Religion, therefore, is perhaps the most valuable tool for the service of the enemy of both God and man.

WE ARE THE CHURCH…
As a member of “The Church,” it is impossible to criticize or complain about its’ deficiencies without pointing a finger at yourself. God works through His sons and His power and presence is made manifest only by those who know who He is and who they are “in Christ.” We cannot complain about what the church is not doing without exposing ourselves and our refusal to do what we have been called to do as part of the body of Christ.
The following is a quote from Norman Grubb’s book, THE DEEP THINGS OF GOD. “The one-man ministry, which is almost universal today, results in the Lord’s people meeting to be ministered unto, rather than to minister to the Lord and each other. It appears that the pattern of the early church was the Spirit manifesting the gifts through the members as He pleased. Those who had gifts suitable for responsibility in the church were then set apart as elders and deacons, and used their gifts under the control of the Spirit, leaving room at the same time for free expression by all the members. What we wrongly speak of as “coming to church” (for the church in the New Testament was always people, not a building), was referred to by the apostle as being for the purpose of “exhorting one another” (Heb.10:25). One church—yes. Local church fellowships, yet part of the one church—yes. But the church does not exist for itself but for those outside of it. A church which is not a propagating church is a swamp, not a river. It must witness or die.”
As new creations in Christ, we are a royal priesthood and a holy nation. We are ambassadors of Christ pointing the world to Christ. We are the church.

DIET & EXERCISE
Most doctors will agree that good physical health is not possible without a good diet and regular exercise. We usually only think of the word ‘diet’ as relating to the need to decrease our caloric intake, change what and when we eat, and hopefully alter our physical image. The nutritionist will inform you that many of the foods we eat are killing us. Profit, and not proper nutrition, is the goal of major food chains and we find ourselves deceived by labels, additives, and marketing strategies. The things that should be part of our normal diet are usually the things we were not introduced to during our formative years. We love junk food and anything that contains sugar must be good. Even when we are informed of the dangers presented by the things we have grown to love our addiction to those sustainers of the health industry is difficult to overcome.

The blessing of technology has also become a curse in that it has made us lazy. Be honest! The two groups of people who exercise regularly, over and above what would be considered normal, are those for whom it has been prescribed and those who have become addicted to it. At any rate, our love of the body has expanded an industry designed to provide false hope for our lack of discipline and our ignorance of who we truly are.
We all have needs but we are not normally aware of the scope of those needs. As triune beings made in the image of God we cannot reach our full potential until our spiritual needs (the need to love others as Christ loved us) are met. Our spiritual health should be our first priority but can only be addressed once our physical and personal needs are met. Jesus is the only answer when it comes to meeting ALL our needs.

A personal relationship with The Father through our union with Jesus ensures a healthy spirit. A steady diet of God’s Word, prayer, faith in His promises and the application (exercise) of the knowledge of His truth in our lives results in us trusting in Him for our provision and protection while we become Christ to others.

A SPIRIT-LED LIFE IS A HEALTHY LIFE.
