Twenty years together and five kids—We’ve been through a lot together with God by our side. We can’t wait till baby Ryah Leona comes home. Due to my preeclampsia, she was born early at 28 weeks and weighed 1 pound 14 ounces. She’s healthy and just needs to grow and gain weight. The Lord is good and faithful. Ryah is our surprise miracle in our 40’s. We are thankful to be debt-free semi-retired entrepreneurs which allows us to focus on all of our children. All glory to the Lord! Invest and get out of debt while you’re young so you can enjoy life later. ❤️

There are over 2,300 historical markers in Georgia, a few dozen of which belong to the state's Civil Rights Trail, devoted to events and locations that impacted the Civil Rights movement. Two of those signs were found riddled with bullet holes.

Studies show that although Black girls don’t get into trouble more than other races, they are punished more severely than their white peers. The book on the right is a great book to read on this subject. We can’t ignore this. The officer was way out of line. I do not think if the teen girl were white, she would be handled in such a manner. This is another reason Homeschooling my black daughters is very important. An incident like this can have lasting effects on a child.

I will never forget visiting this museum a few years ago during Black History Month. Seeing this beautiful mural of Dr. King Jr. painted outside the museum, I was excited to visit the inside. When my kids and I went inside, we were greeted by the museum’s curator. When I asked the curator if they had any artwork on display by Black Artist for Black History month, she turned red and said, “we don’t do politics here.” Hurt and shocked by her response, I found my composer to educate her that Black history & Black Artist are NOT politics! Black History is world history, and she needs to take the mural down if she doesn’t understand the real value of Black culture and contributions to the world of art. SMH.
