Grandparent's Day 2026 - Coming up September 13!

The whole family is important to Cedar Crest Kids!

Grandparents and grandchildren are invited to stop by the children's center to take a sweet picture, grab a little breakfast treat, and pick up some easy-to-apply material that we hope supports sharing your faith with the next generation. This is not an organized event so feel free to drop by anytime throughout the morning!

We've got big news for your big kid!

September 2nd, we are starting a new class on Wednesday evenings just for our 5th graders. This discipleship class will dig deep into scripture and help your child understand how God has called us to live and why. Your 5th grader is more than welcome to continue attending their RA/GA class if they choose! 5th Grade Forged is just another option to help support and teach our tween kids.

Where: Children's Center, Room 205
When: Wednesdays, 6:30-7:30PM, Starting September 2nd!

This will be an evening that combines sharing Cedar Crest Kids information with connecting families and parents discipling children. Join us this weekend!

If your child is entering 1st Grade, now is the perfect time to begin helping them learn how to read and understand God's Word for themselves. The Bible Presentation portion of the service will have a special time for parents to gift their child a Bible (provided by your or Cedar Crest) and will also have a time for families to consider the value of God's Word together. A reminder about Promotion Sunday- happening THIS Sunday!
Kids will move up to the next class in Nursery, Children's Church, and Lifegroup.

If you have a child going to PreK 4 this Fall, this will be their first Sunday to join in Children's Church! Please bring your child with you to service and model how we praise the Lord together in song. Then, when the "Kids Dismissed" slide comes up, they will be dismissed to Children's Church. Please prepare your child to listen well and learn something new to tell you!

We are praying it is a smooth adjustment for all ages!

It's time to get back in the groove! Children's Choir resumes on Wednesday, August 19th at 6PM. Our choirs meet in the Children's Center, and we have classes for children in PreK4 up to 5th Grade. Come sing with us!

Back to School Bash Need-to-Knows:

-There is one service at 10AM. Nursery will open at 9:45AM and close following the conclusion of service. Please pick up your child promptly due to many of our nursery workers having other responsibilities during the Bash. Thank you!

-We will have an inflatable obstacle course this year and a bounce house! With so much going on, it can be difficult to ensure that children are being properly supervised in the water. To help prioritize everyone's safety, we have decided not to offer the waterslides this year.

-There will be food provided by several Lifegroup classes- it is meant to share! People are free to walk around and visit with different classes.

-Some classes will provide items for children. But please note that the backpacks provided by Cedar Crest are intended to be given to visitors. Should you need to direct a visitor, backpacks will be available under the awning of the Children's Center.

✏️Pencil Palooza will be August 16th at 5PM in the Children's Center.

✏️So, what's the point?
This will be a fun family meeting, with activities for everyone. As a parent, you will also learn some valuable information about Cedar Crest Kids and gain some family discipleship resources for you to utilize with your family this fall.

Calling all kids entering 1st grade through completing 5th grade! It's Slip n Slide time!

Join us on the hill next to the Student Center at 6:30PM next Wednesday evening. Pick up is at 7:30PM, but parents are also welcome to stay and watch the fun. See you there!
