Asbury Methodist Church of West Monroe

At Asbury Methodist Church we are Rooted in Scripture, Renewed in Worship, and Reaching in Service.

Asbury United Methodist Church began when Brownville Methodist Church purchased a five-acre tract of land in August 1974. Ground was broken in January 1976 for Asbury United Methodist Church. The first service was held at Asbury on August 8, 1976 when members of Brownsville Methodist loaded into cars for a caravan to the current location of Asbury at 2100 New Natchitoches Road, West Monroe.

This fall at Homecoming we will celebrate 50 years of Asbury! We will worship the Lord through song, hear preaching from God's Word, and celebrate Communion together. We will have many former pastors and former members worshipping with us, many of whom were present when the church was built and founded. Additionally, we will have a potluck meal afterwards where we will get to fellowship and celebrate what God has done. You only turn 50 once! Please join us on October 11th at 11:15 am for worship, and lunch after. We look forward to seeing you!

Weekend of the Cross - 2026

Cole Richardson, Prentice Joiner, Teagan Bishop, Josh Wagner, and Pastor Nick went to Weekend of the Cross at Trinity Methodist in Ruston this past weekend. They spent two days building a deck and wheelchair ramp for a senior citizen, and Josh and the younger kids did all types of service projects around town, including raising $1300 in a lemonade sale for the local food pantry's Christmas in July ministry. These young people did a phenomenal job representing Christ and Asbury Church. Thanks to all who made this weekend happen!

What a wonderful VBS we had last week! Thanks to all who came to volunteer, cook, teach, and participate. We had a great time learning about King Jesus!

A real highlight was seeing Ms. Grace Coronado and Cole Richardson teach the kids about who Jesus is.

Join us at our Men's Breakfast on Father's Day! It will be a combined event with our sister congregation and will be held at Claiborne MC in their Fellowship Hall. Join us at 8:45 for some good food, fellowship, devotion, and prayer. Men and boys of all ages are welcome to come!
