Asbury Methodist Church of West Monroe At Asbury Methodist Church we are Rooted in Scripture, Renewed in Worship, and Reaching in Service.

Asbury United Methodist Church began when Brownville Methodist Church purchased a five-acre tract of land in August 1974. Ground was broken in January 1976 for Asbury United Methodist Church. The first service was held at Asbury on August 8, 1976 when members of Brownsville Methodist loaded into cars for a caravan to the current location of Asbury at 2100 New Natchitoches Road, West Monroe.

Join us at our Men's Breakfast on Father's Day! It will be a combined event with our sister congregation and will be held at Claiborne MC in their Fellowship Hall. Join us at 8:45 for some good food, fellowship, devotion, and prayer. Men and boys of all ages are welcome to come!

We had an awesome time in worship yesterday!

Congratulations to our own Cole Richardson! He graduated from Louisiana Tech this weekend with honors. Now on to your graduate degree. Keep up the good work!

We also celebrated Pentecost Sunday and observed a time of prayer to thank God who gave their lives for our country. God is good.

This Sunday (5/17) we will have the Youth Bake Sale right after church! The proceeds from this will go towards the cost for the Weekend of the Cross summer camp this summer. You can pay for the baked goods right after church, or if you'd like to simply donate towards this effort, please write "Youth Summer Camp" on your giving envelope or on the memo of your check.

We had an awesome series of Lenten Lunches during this Holy Week. Each speaker spoke from their heart and the food and fellowship was wonderful. Bro. Ari Hauben gave a wonderful presentation of "The Messiah in the Passover", and our lay speakers Rose Griggs and Ruth Miller both did an awesome job, speaking about walking with Jesus and having joy in the midst of the Cross. We also had great Maundy Thursday and Good Friday services. Thanks to everyone who made this great week possible.
