Every one of us has been given time.

The question isn’t how much we have left—
it’s what we’re doing with it.

God has placed purpose in our lives, people in our path, and opportunities to make a difference for His Kingdom.

As long as we still have time, we still have purpose.

GOD OF THE BREAKTHROUGH
Pastor Gene Benson
Lapine Assembly – May 31, 2026 Morning Service
Text: 2 Samuel 5:17-21

GOING TO A HIGHER LEVEL
God does not want us to become spiritually stagnant.
A higher level requires greater obedience, deeper faith, a stronger prayer life, and a closer relationship with Him. There is always more growth, more purpose, and more work for God to accomplish through us.

FULFILL YOUR PURPOSE
God has given every believer a purpose.
We must live intentionally, seeking God’s will and allowing Him to direct our lives.
The enemy wants us ineffective, distracted, and spiritually complacent.

SPIRITUAL ENLARGEMENT
Jabez prayed for God to enlarge his territory.
His desire was not simply for more possessions, but for greater usefulness in God’s kingdom.
The greater the calling, the greater our dependence upon God must be.

NEW LEVEL, NEW DEVIL
Every new level brings new opposition.
As David’s influence increased, so did the attacks against him.
The closer we walk with God, the more serious we must become about prayer, devotion, and obedience.

PRESS THROUGH
Breakthrough often requires perseverance.
God is looking for people who are willing, available, and committed to following Him.
Sometimes we must press through the battle before we experience the victory.

THE GOD OF THE BREAKTHROUGH
David called God “The Lord of the Breakthrough.”
God is able to break through barriers, strongholds, and obstacles that seem impossible.
What has been held back can be released when we trust Him and follow His leading.

KEY TRUTH
The God of David is still the God of breakthrough today.

As we seek Him, obey Him, and grow deeper in Him, God is able to bring victory and breakthrough into our lives.

No flood is too great for God.

The same God who pushed back the Jordan River and made a way for Israel is still able to move in our lives today.

Whatever obstacle, struggle, or circumstance you’re facing, nothing is impossible for Him.

The church has forgotten how much power and authority we have in Christ.

We have authority to pray.
Authority to stand firm.
Authority to preach the gospel.
Authority to speak life into dry bones.
Authority to walk in the power of the Holy Ghost.

The God who answered by fire for Elijah is still God today.

We don’t need a watered-down gospel.
We need fresh fire.
Fresh wind.
Fresh revival.

It’s possible to be physically separated from a sin while still carrying the attachment to it in your heart. The story of Lot’s wife serves as a sobering reminder: you can leave the place, but if the desire remains, it changes everything. God doesn’t just judge the actions visible to others; He looks directly at the heart. Are you truly free, or is your heart still looking back?

WHAT DO THESE STONES MEAN?
Pastor Gene Benson
Lapine Assembly – May 24, 2026 AM

Text: Joshua 4:4-7

God instructed Israel to build memorial stones after crossing the Jordan.
The stones were there so future generations would remember what God had done.

THE NEED FOR MEMORIALS
God knows how quickly people forget.

When the danger passes, people often forget the God who brought them through it.

Memorials remind us of God’s faithfulness, deliverance, and power.

FOR THE NEXT GENERATION
The memorial stones gave parents an opportunity to teach their children about God.

Faith must be passed down intentionally.

We are always one generation away from losing what previous generations fought to preserve.

REMEMBER GOD’S WORD
The world constantly pulls people away from truth.

God’s Word is life-giving, guiding, cleansing, and full of hope.

We must hide the Word of God in our hearts and teach it to our children.

REMEMBER WHERE GOD BROUGHT YOU FROM
Never forget the life God delivered you from.

Don’t only remember the good moments of your past— remember the pain, bo***ge, fear, and emptiness.

Jesus redeemed us for a reason.

REMEMBER GOD’S DELIVERANCE
God has brought His people through impossible situations again and again.

His faithfulness should never become ordinary to us.

REMEMBER YOUR FIRST LOVE
Don’t lose the passion and devotion you once had for God.

Never let your relationship with Him become casual or routine.

REMEMBER THE CROSS
Jesus willingly suffered and died so we could be saved.

May His sacrifice never become common to us.

REMEMBER LOT’S WIFE
Don’t become so attached to the world that you look back longingly at it.

Live ready for the return of Jesus.

✨KEY TRUTH✨
Never forget what God has done.

What we remember shapes how we live, what we value, and what we pass on to the next generation.

Don’t make vows you aren’t ready to keep—let your yes be yes and your no be no. Integrity matters.
