True strength isn’t just about standing tall; it’s about what you’re willing to battle for. A godly man is defined by his fight. The next generation is watching, It’s time to stop standing on the sidelines and start fighting the good fight.

The Christian life was never meant to be lived from the sidelines.

There is a faith to defend, a family to lead, and a generation to influence.

Stay faithful, stay focused, and keep moving forward.

What was meant to harm you is actually being used for your growth. Every challenge is just part of a larger plan you might not see yet. It is time to leave the mud behind, pick your banner up, and keep moving forward. Your comeback is already in motion.

Many people are identified by their circumstances, their struggles, or what others say about them.

But God’s Word calls us children of God, joint heirs with Christ, and a royal priesthood.

Don’t be ashamed of who you are in Christ.

Sometimes the hardest part of a struggle is forgetting that nothing catches God by surprise. Even when things look tough, there’s a bigger picture at play, and that defeat your enemies think they’re dealing you might just be the setup for something much greater. Take heart—what was meant to hold you back is already being turned around for your good.

Truth was never meant to be hidden.

God has called His people to stand for what is right and make Christ known without compromise.

The Gospel is still the answer, and the world still needs to hear it.

DISPLAY THE FLAG
Pastor Gene Benson
Sunday Evening – June 14, 2026

Text: Psalm 60:4

CHRIST IS OUR BANNER
God has given His people a banner to be displayed because of the truth. Christ is our banner, and our responsibility is to lift Him up for the world to see. Jehovah-Nissi means, "The Lord is my banner."

KNOW WHO YOU ARE
A banner identified who people belonged to. Many people allow circumstances, failures, or the opinions of others to define them, but the Bible identifies us as children of God, joint heirs with Christ, highly favored, and a royal priesthood. We should never be ashamed of who we are in Christ.

LEAD THE CHARGE
The banner was a rallying point in battle. As believers, we are called to stand together and go on the offensive against the enemy of our souls, against the attacks on our families, homes, prodigals, peace, joy, and the church.

A BANNER OF VICTORY
The banner was also a sign of victory and rejoicing. We celebrate the salvation God has given us and lift our banner in His name with confidence and joy.

A PLACE OF REFUGE
Throughout Scripture, banners were used to direct people toward safety and refuge. God still calls His people to turn toward Him, trust Him, and find security in His presence.

RAISE THE STANDARD
The banner was used to announce and declare important truth. We are not called to hide our faith but to make Christ known. The message of the Gospel should be proclaimed boldly and without compromise.

DO NOT SURRENDER
Believers must never raise the white flag of surrender. Though we may feel outnumbered at times, God has given promises to the remnant. We are called to remain faithful and continue standing for truth.

NO HALF-MAST FLAGS
There are seasons of grief and difficulty, but we cannot remain in a place of mourning forever. We must get back up, lift our banner high, trust Christ, and continue moving forward in faith.

HONOR THE BANNER
The banner represents holiness. We should respect what God has called holy and live lives that reflect His character. God has called His people to be holy and set apart for His purposes.

BE DEVOTED TO ONE FLAG
No one can serve two masters. We cannot fly the flag of Christ and the flag of the world at the same time. A wholehearted commitment to Jesus requires loyalty, devotion, and a desire to live with eternity in view.

KEY TRUTH
Christ is our banner. We must not be ashamed of Him, surrender our convictions, or divide our loyalty. Instead, we are called to lift Him high, stand for truth, and faithfully follow Him until the end.
