Prayer is a matter of position.
We either pray from the position of a son or the position of a slave.

A son knows the will of his father and can pray accordingly because he's part of the family.
A slave is not part of the family so he's not privileged to the family discussion, therefore he does not know the will of the father.

Sons pray with assurance and expectation.
Slaves pray with lack of understanding and uncertainty.

Which position are we praying from?

The doctors had already said goodbye to him.

Jacob King was born in the United States with a severe congenital condition, similar to hydranencephaly, in which much of the cerebral hemispheres fails to form. The prognosis was unequivocal: he would not live for more than an hour. His parents held him, expecting the worst.

That hour passed, and so did the days and the years. Jacob grew up, got married, and today travels from church to church with his wife, sharing his story through the Children of Justice Ministries and in his book """"Born Without a Brain."""" He attributes it to a divine miracle. Medicine offers another explanation: his brainstem remained intact, sustaining his vital functions, while the remaining tissue developed an uncommon degree of plasticity.

Science or faith, the truth is that Jacob is still standing where no one expected him to ever walk.
