First Church First Church is a growing fellowship of believers in Christ, united and empowered by the Holy Spirit. Welcome to 1st Church!

Our goal is meet you where you are and help you get where God wants you to be. Most of the time that involves real life change. We believe real life change comes with a relationship with Jesus Christ. Our hope is that you will come see us, get answers to your spiritual questions, and feel loved and cared for the moment you walk in. We'd love to see you this Sunday at 10:45am for service.

Today we say a heartfelt goodbye to Pastor Darrel Schick and his wife, Ruth, as they begin a new chapter in ministry. For nearly 10 years, they have poured their hearts into First Baptist Church—Darrel through his faithful leadership and preaching, and Ruth through her beautiful ministry in worship, singing, and playing the keyboards with such grace.

While we are sad to see them go, we are excited for the work God has called Darrel to as a local mission strategist, and we know He will continue to use both Darrel and Ruth in powerful ways.

Thank you, Pastor Darrel and Ruth, for your dedication, your love, your prayers, and your countless acts of service. You have blessed our church family more than words can express. May God go before you in every step of this next season.

You will always be part of the FBC family. ❤️🙏

Only 41 days left until the next Clothing Closet event at First Baptist, West Jefferson. We are currently accepting donations of fall/winter clothing and gently used winter outdoor wear for kids, teens & adults. We are also offering free, unused gloves, hats & scarves. Join us for Family Fun Day! It's a great spot to watch the Fireworks! Festivities begin on July 4th at 7:30 We will have lots of fun for the kids, including free food (for all in attendance), bouncy houses, games, and the chance to register for great gifts! Our Boutique will also be open that evening! We have clothing for adults and kids - stop by to see what we have.
