WV YA people! This Sunday night 6:30pm be READY! One of our own, Alexander is going to be sharing with us, dropping some knowledge and wisdom. If you have been in out group, you KNOW when Alexander speaks, what he shares resonate and hits home. Of course we will eat, encourage each other and compare March Madness brackets, lol. Bring a friend!

Thanks Lauren for teaching tonight! One of the things she talked about was from Richard foster. Celebration of Discipline.
1. Flash prayer - in the moment, short prayers. habit of lifting up situations vs "Oh well."
2. Imagination prayer - sitting with Jesus, talking. Howard said when he prays sometimes imagine sitting with Jesus, that he too would be laughing about crazy situations.
3. Healing prayer. To lift up people who are hurting, gets your eyes off yourself.
Alexander quote "The ability to make yourself do something, even when you don't feel like doing it is your key to your success"

Julie said using worship music helps you to focus on Jesus and creating an environment to help you pray.
We also talked about praying is like being a radio, tuning into the station to hear, but also shut down the distractions!
Last, ACTS example can help give framework, A=adore God. C=confess to God, T=thank God, S=supplication or ask God. What a cool night - thanks Lauren!

Only 4 percent of the Millennial Generation are Bible-Based Believers. This means that 96 percent of Millennials likely don't live out the teachings of the Bible, value the morals of Christianity and probably won't be found in a church. This author goes deep to explain why.

YA Family Dinner is BACK tmrw night! After being off from the Superbowl we are BACK on 2/11 at 6:30 upstairs. Great people, conversation, encouragement, teaching and FOOOOD!!!! We are picking up PORTOS in Burbank for our first night back, be there and bring a friend!
