TOMORROW IS ANNUAL WOMEN’S DAY AT BETH-EL!

Join us Sunday, October 18th, as we celebrate the women of Beth-El COGIC during our annual Women’s Day services!

This year’s theme is “I’M G.R.O.W.N.” — Grounded, Resilient, Obedient, Whole, and New! (Ephesians 4:14–16)

We are looking forward to two powerful worship experiences:

Under the leadership of our Women’s Department President, Evangelist Ericka Riggins-Brown, we are celebrating spiritual growth, maturity, and the transforming power of God!

FRIDAY MORNING PRAYER | 5 FOCUS POINTS

What a powerful way to close out the week—in prayer, thanksgiving, and faith!

This morning, we gathered to seek God’s presence, lift up our families, and intercede for those in need.

Our prayer centered on five powerful reminders:

1. Praise & Honor God — Give Him glory in every circumstance.
2. Forgiveness & a Right Heart — Ask God to cleanse us and align our lives with His will.
3. Divine Protection — Cover our families, children, workplaces, and communities in prayer.
4. Healing & Restoration — Believe God for healing, deliverance, and renewed strength.
5. Strength for the Journey — Trust God to sustain us through every challenge.

A SPECIAL CALL TO PRAYER FOR OUR YOUTH!

Parents, grandparents, and guardians, we were challenged to pray intentionally for the next generation. Call their names before the Lord. Speak life over them. Cover them with prayer every morning and every night.

Our challenge: Pray Psalm 91 over our children daily.

Prayer is not just something we do. It’s how we remain connected to the One who sustains us.

Stay encouraged. Stay vigilant. Stay prayerful.

LOVE SHOULD NOT COST YOU YOUR PEACE.

Tonight’s Christ & Counseling session, hosted by Ronishia Foster, MHC-LP, reminded us that healthy relationships are built on love, respect, accountability, forgiveness, and healthy boundaries.

As followers of Christ, we are called to love others, but loving someone does not mean accepting mistreatment, sacrificing our emotional well-being, or losing ourselves in the process.

We can love without enabling, forgive without reopening doors, and establish boundaries without feeling guilty.

Most importantly, we must remember to nurture our relationship with God and take time to heal, grow, and become emotionally healthy ourselves.

“Love is patient, love is kind.” — 1 Corinthians 13:4

We extend our appreciation to Ronishia Foster, MHC-LP, for facilitating such a meaningful and insightful discussion, and to everyone who participated with honesty, transparency, and encouragement.

Healthy love brings growth, not destruction. Peace is worth protecting.

I’M G.R.O.W.N. — Grounded • Resilient • Obedient • Whole • New

Join us tomorrow, Sunday, October 11th, as we continue celebrating Women’s Month at Beth-El COGIC!

We are excited to hear from our Women’s Department Vice President, Evangelist Qiana Bennett, as she shares the Word of God!

Our theme reminds us that spiritual growth is a journey. God is continually developing, strengthening, and transforming us into who He has called us to be!
